My boyfriend used to live near Anonas and would keep telling me about how he missed his favorite baked treats from Kawilihan Bakery. I decided to surprise him with an order of his favorite pan de sal and polvoron. Because I lived far away, I didn't want to waste a trip, so I decided to call them up using the landline shared here on Google to make sure they had them in stock.

To my pleasant surprise, it's active, and they are even capable of accommodating advanced orders with payment via Gcash and delivery (book your own courier/rider). I was able to order big and small pan de sals plus a lot of my boyfriend's favorite polvoron. What I appreciated even more was the owner personally called me when he found out that my orders were the nostalgic craving of my boyfriend. He asked what shape the polvorons were in my partner's memory, as they've changed polvoron shapers through the years, and he wanted my boyfriend to get the same polvoron as he remembered.

He was as warm as the breads he became known for, and he repeatedly expressed gratitude: for remembering them through the years, for our orders, and for supporting their small business.

The soft, fluffy pan de sals came in sealed packs, and even the polvorons were nicely placed in a box. I have nothing but kind words for Kawilihan Bakery. We look forward to...

This bakery has been here for decades, long before Kamias-Anonas became such a busy, bustling area full of banks and places to eat. It remains open to the late hours though I don't recall if it stays open past 12 down to 4. It has a decent pandesal priced at 2 Pesos apiece as of this writing (Aug 2017) among a wide variety of the usual panderia (bakery) breads. During the day there's a merienda stand on the side that serves goto. There's also usually a balut vendor seated outside during...

This place has a lot of history to it And with that history is its well-known good quality breads and other local Filipino delicacies like puto and kutsinta.

They serve delicious pan del sal every morning. And other breads are equally satisfying. My mom told me Kawilihan Bakery is famous for its ensaymada.

Do pass by and get breads in this bakery when you can any...
