It’s not the same KFC as we know it. Aside from being more expensive it isn’t a dining experience to look forward to.
FOLLOW UP REVIEW (#2) April 25,2025
Since we were in a rush to have dinner, we chose to visit KFC again despite the not so nice experience we had the last time.
We were in a rush - meaning we wanted to satisfy our hunger the fastest way possible. KFC isn’t big on our list but we went just the same hoping it would be better.
#1 - despite the ordering system available people still have to queue which somehow defeats the purpose of having it one way or the other … must be the preferred form Of payment
But having ONE POS during peak time on a weekend to serve guests is not acceptable.
#2 - speed of service : why no order taker to shorten waiting time for customers to make their order?
#3 - at first the manager wasn’t present and could be seen doing admin duties. I was a KFC Manager before and one of our cardinal rules is that we always supervise/help out during peak periods.
Note that there were only two dispatchers With one fully occupied with take out orders which were a lot. The other dispatcher also doubles as busser, and it is no surprise why there were a lot of unbussed tables.
Are they scrimping on labor cost or is it simply a case of faulty planning of the weekly staff roster by the manager?
#4 - it is always best to manage expectations of customers re service time especially if you are undermanned or do not have enough available stocks to serve … that is the job of the POS which she never communicated AT ALL
#5 - after more than 20 minutes have passed I approached the counter to POLITELY ask if our order was ready to be served … I did so after waiting for them to finish whatever tasks they were doing
The dispatcher doubling as a busgirl just looked at me and just continued to chatter with the POS who was so busy.
You’re hungry and you are ignored … I said aloud that I was asking politely, and I don’t deserve to be ignored.
I dropped the alert bell to get attention. She just looked at the number.
BASIC Polite decorum in a service setting IS A GIVEN.
#6 - 5 minutes after the alert bell was ringing … if I hadn’t done what I did I would I have gotten attention?
#7 - KFC always places a premium on QSC. In fact They had mystery shoppers before the advent of the Internet and would evaluate managers based on their QSC results. I think that with technology & the internet should there not be greater urgency in seeing to it that excellent QSC is observed?
Reality check - Jollibee Kamias/Anonas which is just a stone’s throw away has greater sales volume and offers superior service. Doesn’t this bother KFC at all?
To think that in terms of market share (just for chicken) JFC leads by leaps and bounds and is still able to offer decent service?
Wake up KFC or you might just end up...
Read moreNothing extraordinary. Still the same old KFC. Juz noticed there were 2 glass doors upon entering. After you entered the first one there is a large door mat which occupied the entire small space. No blowers there on anything else. Then you get in the second door, then its the store itself. I guess the space in between the 2 doors is for you to clean up, wipe your footwear, ir maybe dry up yourself a lityle if its wet outside before entering the main door which leads to the store itself. There are no guards there. Maybe its self explanatory. You juz think at first why are there 2 doors, then you figure it out coz the whole are is covered by the large 3M doormat efficient for cleaning up the dirtiest...
Read moreAt later hours of the evening, most of the lights are turned off and trays from previous customers are left on around 10 of the tables. The printed receipts have no ink at all. Garbage is left strewn on the floor. The parking area in front of the restaurant is not lighted at all. None of the airconditioners are turned on too. Personally, it seems like the crew are not welcoming customers at all with the lights turned off and them not responding when being asked. Overall, it made our experience here unpleasant. Sorry but we might never come back to...
