Urban Chick — Restaurant in Quezon City

ENDED UP WALKING OUT OF THIS RESTAURANT BECAUSE OF FALSE PROMISES WITH THE SERVING TIME.

We were a group of three (3) who arrived at 6:15pm and got the last vacant table inside the restaurant. The staff mentioned it would take 20-30 mins for our food to be served.

We decided to follow up on our order after 1.5 hours of patiently waiting. Staff said it might take about 20 mins more before our orders come out because there are still 4 tables that they have to serve before us. I don't understand why they would give us an estimate of 20-30 mins when they probably know for a fact that they cannot fulfill it in the first place.

THIS RESTAURANT NEEDS A SERIOUS OVERHAUL especially with managing customer expectations and speed of service. It was HIGHLY UNDERSTAFFED on both the kitchen and dining area and they also didn't put any importance on placing a proper queue for waiting customers.

Ended up telling the staff that we have to sadly cancel our order since a 1.5 hour waiting time is just not acceptable especially after initially saying that serving time will take 20-30 mins. Had high hopes about this place especially since it was recommended by a...

We visited Urban Chick Maginhawa tonight after watching a food review by Ran Got Away. We were genuinely excited to try your food based on the feature, but sadly, our experience didn’t meet our expectations.

While your staff were kind and approachable, we were told that food preparation would take 20–30 minutes but we ended up waiting for nearly an hour. What disappointed us more was the serving size, which felt significantly smaller than what we saw in the review and even on your own menu.

By the time our rice meals arrived, we had already finished the chicken tenders that were served first. The portions we received were noticeably different compared to those shown in the food content we saw.

We’re sharing this as constructive feedback. We understand that restaurants can get busy, but we hope for consistency and fairness in both service and portions, regardless of whether the customer is a vlogger or a regular diner.

I already ate here a few times before the pandemic, when my mom would drop by because I lived nearby before. Tapos dito kami kakain. Natutuwa kami noon sa rubber chickens na pantawag ng waiter 😂

Pinagbakasyon muna siguro iyong mga rubber chicken dahil sa pandemic so I didn't see them when I ate here (although they still have their painting of a rubber chicken on the wall, nahiya lang akong kumuha ng litrato lol). Pero after all these years panalo pa rin fried chicken nila :

It's possible to order spicy varieties of their chicken! I got their Brandi's chicken na pinaanghang 💯 They also serve food with a pitcher of water by default. 😊

Buti na lang bukas pa kayo. :') I also quietly witnessed a cute casual interaction between the owner and some frontliners who had lunch there around the time I did. Good food and good vibes too 🌸

Next time my mom comes over I'll see if I can bring her here again. 😂...
