To start, we were 8th in line and we observed that they let 3 groups ahead of us without even informing us beforehand. You could at least inform your guests that you will be doing this. I understand that there may be pwds in the other groups but had they asked, we would inform them that we are also pwds as well.
They also offered to cook our food while in line so that it'll be prepared by the time we are seated. To our surprise while we waited in line for 30min, we still had to wait another 15min for our food to be ready once seated. They also only informed us that an item we ordered was not available whilst we were already seated and waiting for the food. I wish they could have told us earlier while in line para mas napabilis and pagprep ng food. Bakit pa kayo magaask ng order and offer to cook it earlier to save time if sasabihin niyo rin na di rin pala available yung item after the long wait for the seats plus the food?
Taste wise okay naman yung food, usual manam pero medjo overcooked lang ng onti yung crispy pata.
Lastly, once I asked for the bill, I told the person who came to us that I wish to separate the bill for us pwds and my son para mas clear yung babayaran since he is not a pwd. After waiting a few minutes, we got the bill but asked to fix it since hindi nagawa yung inask ko. They then said that they would fix it. I would like to add that MS. TRICIA, the waitress handling our bill this time, proceeded to make a face when I made a request to fix the bill and once she wasn't in front of us, proceeded to signal for other waiters to handle us instead. I know that the situation can be somewhat frustrating but is it so hard to be patient when we were also patiently waiting for our food and to be seated as well? We then waited for another 10min for them to do this and after following up again since nakita namin nauna na yung ibang guests but ended up with 2 bills that added our non-pwd son sa bill namin with pwds further adding to the costs. I mistakenly paid for it assuming naayos na yung bill kasi nakailang clarify na ako. When I double checked, naseparate naman yung order ng son ko pero yung saamin ng wife ko ( we are both pwds ) ay may discrepany dahil n!sama pa rin ang son ko sa computation which I have been trying to ask them to fix 2 times already plus waiting for the bill for 20min in total. They then had a person who is supposedly a rank below the manager, talk to us regarding the situation and he basically summarized everything with, sorry sir miscom siguro, wala ng magagawa eh. I clarified with him na why would my son be included in our bill if I already asked to have his food separated from ours multiple times and sabi lang baka lang di raw naintindiham ni Ms Tricia despite me clarifying multiple times. I hope in future transactions mas maayos yung paghandle and with true genuine accountability. Also, I understand na its near closing time and people are tired but please don't make faces at your guests especially since it is your responsibility to settle these matters. Ive never experienced this with other manam establishments and it is very saddening na this happened since it was our first time dining in this branch. To be honest, we would have been okay with the waiting but we were just extremely disappointed with how everything was handled plus the attitude of the staff seeing to us. We usually enjoy dining in other manam establishment. I hope this doesn't happen again and that everything will be better for your...
Read moreIt was my first time dining at Manam because I wanted to try something new at UP Town Center. I'm not a fan of Filipino foods nor dining at Filipino restaurants because those are the type of foods you can cook and eat at home but God, Manam was a game changer. Their food was delicious. I like that they made Filipino food more appealing especially for picky eaters like me. I liked the twists they did to their dishes. The food are great! It's delightful and heartwarming. I also love their iced tea! ( ╹▽╹ )
As for the service, it was good. We dined on a full house last night so it was a bit hard trying to get some of the server's attention but I think they are trying their best to still accommodate their customer's needs. The manager was nice too. They served our food for only less than 10 mins! It was fast! Although billing out was a bit slow. It took us a couple of follow ups before we were able to pay our bill. ಠ﹏ಠ
I love the interior of this restaurant it's so clean and appealing! The lighting was nice! The tables are nice! It's all good! The restroom was clean too! 🤍🩵
Will I come back to Manam? Uhh, duh YES! Would love to eat here everyday! If all Pinoy foods were cooked like Manam's, I'd definitely love Filipino foods! What a great culinary experience! Thank you Manam!...
Read moreFood was great. Took longer than other branches despite not being that busy but what was most disappointing was how they did not follow take out instructions. We had a lot of leftovers especially the garlic rice so we asked them to split the leftover garlic rice in half. We instructed them that half of the leftover garlic rice should be packed with all of the leftover bicol express and the remaining half of the leftover garlic rice should be packed with the leftover sisig and palabok. So easy to understand and so simple, right? But nooooo, they halved the bicol express and packed together the now minuscule leftover portion of bicol express with ALL of the leftover garlic rice and they packed the other paper bag with the palabok, the sisig, and the other half of the now minuscule portion of the leftover bicol express. So instead of the two parties going home with semi-equal portions, kawawa naman yung umuwi na sobrang konti bicol express at puro garlic rice tapos yung mga tao na dapat may garlic rice na din puro ulam na lang yu ng meron dahil di makaintindi ng simple instructions ang server nila. Disappointing...
