Been eating here with my family for over 5 years and have eaten solo (with my partner only) for about 3-4 times the last 6 months. When I was with my family (regular customers), the staff were all smiles and very punctual and polite but when my partner and I dined solo, the staff were all moody and didn't pay attention to us at all, we even had to wait for about 3-5 minutes to be seated because they won't clean the tables that were used by previous customers.
For the food, we ordered fish fillet with fried rice and fried pork chop slices noodles. Food was good, as always so kudos to the chef.
The staff's service was the main problem. They've been there for years but one can really see and feel the discrimination among customers. They don't serve the water immediately even after us telling them about 6 times (legit). So slow service, they were only fast when we paid but had to wait another while for the change so we didn't bother to tip anymore.
So annoying how good food can be ruined by such ridiculous customer service. They didn't even...
Read moreIt's my first time here and I honestly think that this will be my new go-to place for noodles! There's a big difference between hand-pulled and the usual - the elasticity and freshness of the noodles is really satisfying to eat! You make sure to finish your bowl inside the restaurant to enjoy it. I had my leftover noodles at home and I didn't enjoy it as much - the noodles became soggy and sad. The serving size is good for 1 very hungry adult. If you have a small stomach, you can adequately share for 2. The braised beef and tendons are really tasty and so is the broth! I'll definitely visit again soon! You also have options for the shape of your noodles - from angel hair to udon size and flat, wide noodles. For starters, I recommend the regular round.
I also highly recommend the pork kutchay dumplings! It comes with black vinegar which is really good and pairs well (surprisingly) with the dumplings.
I'll be trying the other options they have on the menu. I also love their century eggs...
Read moreOne of my favorite restaurants in the Santa Mesa Heights area. This small, cozy but bright and lively place is the place to go for amazing fresh noodle dishes. They have so many noodle dishes to choose from, and all of them can either be dry or with soup.
I've already tried the seafood noodle soup, as well as the pork and wanton noodle soup. Both are good and so filling with the generous serving of freshly hand pulled noodles, but the pork and wanton was the better of the two.
This place also serves rice dishes that also look awesome. They have lots of dumplings too which I think are also their specialty.
The noodle dishes range from mid 200 plus pesos to almost 300 pesos for the more special varieties, but they are reasonable, in my opinion, for the quality and amount of food given to you.
The service by the nice old ladies in this place is also one of the things that make this place so appealing.
Parking can be a...
