The ambience of the place is good. It kinda reminds me of being in a food court tho. There are some comfy seats but the ones we’re in are metallic chairs, so they aren’t that comfortable. The reservation was easy to book. The staff were nice enough I think, they were more neutral, not welcoming, you ask them stuff and they would hand it to you without any word or expressions. The food was okay, nothing superb. I was disappointed with the steak station, there wasn’t a steak, they put old cold roast beef on a sizzling plate and put tons of gravy and called it “steak”. It was nothing like the videos I’ve seen on vlogs. I feel like I was lied to. I don’t recommend the Chinese food, it was awful, there lots of bones in the sweet and sour pork and the chicken. It’s also very tough and not freshly cooked. Their dimsums are also not good. For the Japanese corner, I liked the salmon sashimi, you have to request it since it isn’t on display. The maki are cold and the rice used were not good, it was unappetizing. The tempura wasn’t good. It was dripping with oil and was soggy. I liked the Mexian section, the sauces were good so it made the quesadillas, nachos and texmex good. I think this is the only part that was good in my opinion. The Italian section was just okay. The truffle pasta was good. The pizzas are meh, like normal bread with toppings. The seafood section was okay, the baked oysters didn’t have much flavor, couldn’t even taste the oysters. The paella was just okay. The fish in the fish curry was very tough and rubbery. The cajun mix was just okay, doesn’t taste much like cajun. The dessert section was okay, their cakes are not that good, the texture and taste is very subpar. I liked the brownies tho, they’re fudgey. The bubblegum ice cream tastes like childhood. They also have finger foods like charcuterie options, fries, and wings. There are breads, fruits and salads too. The drinks were great, I liked the peach tea, watermelon and minty lemon lime. They’re very refreshing. All in all, it was an okay experience, nothing stellar, less options than Vikings but same price. Between the two, I will choose Vikings, but if there are other options, I will choose neither.

The Alley by Vikings at U.P. Town Center is truly a culinary gem! This buffet-style dining experience offers a unique twist compared to the usual options. The concept of multiple food stations, each offering different international cuisines, feels like you’re taking a flavorful journey across the globe. The selection is vast, from authentic Filipino dishes to Asian, Mediterranean, and even Western cuisines. It’s impossible not to find something you love! The ambiance is vibrant and welcoming, with a modern and stylish interior that adds to the overall experience. The setup feels more like a casual food market, giving diners the freedom to explore a variety of dishes from different cultures in one sitting. It creates a relaxed yet exciting dining environment. What stands out is the diversity of food choices. There’s something for everyone, whether you're in the mood for a hearty steak from the steakhouse, street food from the tusok-tusok station, or indulging in the wide variety of desserts. The range of options ensures that everyone can find their favorites or discover something new. Overall, The Alley by Vikings offers great value for money, especially if you’re looking for a high-quality buffet with a wide range of choices. I would highly recommend this place for family gatherings, special occasions, or even casual lunches. You won't be disappointed!

Where can I start, we tried to book and make a reservation online through their Vikings website but once you have filled out the booking form it then tells you to go and confirm your booking through their Facebook page and send a message. An hour before our lunch booking we got a message saying "We apologize but we are fully booked we have spare reservations for dinner" I message back thanks for your late reply not good customer service. So we were still traveling to the Alley Vikings so we thought will give it a try and do a walk in. The lady at the door said how many people and I said 4 people and next minute they taken us to a table. So it was easy to do a walk in than making booking online. The Food: The food was OK but not much food slection like Vikings restaurant in SM Mega Mall where you pay for the same price but you get more food selection. They have a what they call a Just a Steak in a minute. Which is deceiving for people who love eating Steak. Because I asked the guy who was serving the meat can I gave a steak then next minute he gave me a slice of roast beef with gravy on a sizzling plate. I Said to him that is not a Steak it is roast beef. He then said sorry we have no Steak. I Ssaid then why you guys advertising that it is a Steak Station when there is no steak. I said it should be called "Meat Station" not good. Also the air-condition is not good because some customers were sweating so the staff had to bring in mobile air-conditioners. They need to sort out the air-condition, the air-condition in the Mall was way better than the Alley Vikings air-condition. To be honest I would go to the Vikings restaurant at the SM Mega Mall because you pay the same price as you do at Alley Vikings and get more food selection.

This is one of those try-it-once-then-won't-come-back novelties. The interiors are stylish and well-thought of, the food variety is vast, the food park-slash-buffet idea was great. Unfortunately, the taste of the food is generally disappointing. It's okay, but nothing special, and definitely not worth P800-900. Some of my notable foods: -Beef Rendang was very tasty but a little fatty -Salmon Sashimi was watery and tasted bland :( -Shrimp Tempura was just okay -Roasted Duck was juicy but with uneven seasoning (either bland or salty) -Bagnet skin was extra crispy but the meat was dry as ef. -Pizza was gummy and lacked toppings -Lasagna was dry -Truffle Pasta was yummy and has huge servings but make sure to share with 3-4 peeps because you don't wanna get full with just one dish -DON'T EAT FISHBALLS and the likes if you don't want to feel more shortchanged with what you paid for -Desserts were okay. Cheesecake needs more punch. Chocolate pudding is delicious but a little sweet. Don't bother with the kakanins because they are just sourced from elsewhere. Come here armed with the knowledge that you're paying more for the well-appointed place and the overwhelming number of food choices, and not just for the quality and taste you'd expect from your usual buffet places. To add, one waiter did not come back with a fresh set of requested utensils; our Official Receipt took 10-15 minutes to be written. Lastly, there were moments that the air-conditioning was not sufficient to cool the place that we got sweaty a few times (and no, it's not due to spicy foods or free beer and mojitos).

The Alley just opened at UP Town Center in time for our company Christmas dinner. Here are the factors I considered in giving this all-you-can-eat place a 3.5 rating: 1. Layout: It has interesting interiors and you'd immediately understand why it's called The Alley. Literally, there are alleys with food stalls. There's street food too, like taho, fish balls, puto bumbong and bibingka. The only thing I don't appreciate is being placed in the 6-seater houses for our gathering. It wasn't conducive to a big group bonding. I had to stand and walk around from time to time. Since I'm seated beside the wall, it was also bothersome for my companions to give way whenever I wanted to go back to the buffet. 2. Food: As I would prioritize in other buffet restos, I like their Japanese section and had Salmon sashimi, sushi, and Ebi Tempura first. Though there are several food choices, The Alley is lacking oysters and crabs. That's sad! Nevertheless, I ate a lot and liked our president's treat. 3. Drinks: The Alley gets a perfect score in this department. There's something for everyone, including beers and a coffee bar.

For my daughter's bday, we selected The Alley UP Town Center to be the venue for her bday dinner. We were enticed by Tiktok videos & Google reviews to give this place a try. The Alley is indeed an IG-worthy place. Even the restroom interiors are so aesthetic. At first, we were overwhelmed by all food choices. We thought they have more choices than Vikings. However, we were disappointed to note that on our 2nd and 3rd time to roam around that the food spread is not that much. Even the desert has limited offerings compared to other buffets. We enjoyed the bite size-portioned salmon sashimi, tempura and calamares. The cheesy baked oysters came out around 6pm and was salty but we still had some. What we also liked about The Alley are the numeros beverage options-from juices to iced coffew, hot coffee, beer, and even cocktails. By the way, the birthday cake they give out to birthday celebrants are the best we ever had in most of the buffet chains in the country. Overall, sadly, we feel we would rather spend our Php 988+ per head in The Alley's main brand instead.
