Donday Korean Buffet Visit Review
Visit Time and Purpose: Visited on a weekday evening in early summer 2025 for a gathering with friends. The structure and atmosphere are well-suited for group customers, making it ideal for company dinners or family gatherings.
Location and Accessibility: Located on the outskirts of the city center, navigation is essential when driving. Car travel is more convenient than public transportation, and since the exterior isn't very conspicuous, be sure to check for the signage.
Parking and External Environment: The dedicated parking space is somewhat limited, but street parking nearby is available. Since it's roadside, it can get congested, so we recommend visiting with time to spare. The exterior is clean and accessibility is decent with no particular obstacles on the entrance road.
External and Internal First Impressions: While the exterior is ordinary, the interior is spacious with adequate spacing between tables, allowing for comfortable dining. Noise and odors weren't excessive, making it pleasant for conversation during meals, and overall it was well-maintained and clean.
Restroom: The in-store restroom maintains basic cleanliness standards, and the washroom area was also well-managed.
Interior and Atmosphere: The interior features a practical style with minimal aesthetic elements, but the layout oriented toward group/family customers is impressive. Thanks to bright lighting and well-functioning air conditioning, we could dine comfortably even on hot days.
Staff Service: The owner is Korean, and most staff members are local Filipinos. While the staff are friendly, refill requests may take some time, so patience is needed during busy hours.
Menu Composition: The buffet offers various Korean dishes: Fresh ingredients for shabu-shabu: vegetables, dumplings, shrimp, fish cake, mushrooms, etc. Meat dishes (pork belly, chicken galbi, bulgogi, etc.) Korean side dishes (kimchi, seasoned vegetables, braised potatoes, etc.) Desserts (watermelon, melon, macaroni salad, etc.)
Food Evaluation Shabu-shabu offers two broth options with good ingredient freshness Shrimp, dumplings, and vegetables are neatly prepared Overall, the food tends to be salty, which might be burdensome for those who prefer mild flavors Bulgogi and sweet and sour chicken are popular and get refilled quickly Stir-fried pork has rich flavor but is also on the salty side Japchae had good texture with noodles that weren't overcooked, and sweet rice cakes were kid-friendly Various Korean side dishes available, though some may find them too salty
Price and Value At 599 pesos, you can enjoy unlimited shabu-shabu, grill, and buffet, offering excellent value for money. The major advantage is being able to enjoy generous portions of localized Korean food at this price. There were no additional service charges or extra costs.
Overall Review and Recommendation Advantages: Diverse menu composition Excellent value for money Can accommodate group customers
Disadvantages: Saltiness of some dishes Staff response speed
Recommended for: Those who want to enjoy Korean food affordably locally Friends and family group visitors Those who want to try various menu items
I would consider revisiting, and satisfaction would likely be higher when visiting with...
Read moreFood tastes average compared to other Korean BBQ buffet. We had unlimited pork, beef & buffet for 395 each (reasonable price, cash only payment) among other available packages. But we only tried 1 set because we are not satisfied with the taste. Drinks not included. Too much MSG if I may say. (We got dizzy right after some meals). You only have few selections and no food labels as well. Their pork and beef serving is unlimited but not marinated (not sure if that's their signature BBQ style). Sauce selection is great but like what I said, no labels. Place is quite small and have difficult parking space. No exhaust fan hence the smell sticks to you while and after grilling. Staff and owners (I think the couple supervising are the owners) are accomodating that's why I gave them 3 stars for the service but not for the food and place. For "laman tiyan" on a budget, this is the place to be. Don't forget to drink a lot of water...
Read moreMy top 1 samgyup place in the Philippines.
I am a regular customer in Don Day. This is not your regular samgyup in PH. It's really a basic korean restaurant that offers unlimited beef, pork and buffet.
I only eat beef. They have the best tasting beef samgyup in the Philippines compared to highly commercialized samgyup places there is.
I'm dead serious! Once you taste the beef here, other samgyup restaurants will taste bland. And it's just plain beef!!!
The staff are friendly and accommodating as well as the ownet of the restaurant who are Korean Nationals.
The restaurant appeal is just basic, it doesn't have that nice interior design but as for me, I really go there for the food.
I love it so much that I eat alone there at times if I don't have anyone to go with. They have a special price for solo eaters.
This is my ultimate recommendation. I love Don Day!...
