We have dined here before, but on another ocassion, we have experienced having been declined service, but read on and don't make judgments yet. It was because we had a dog (chihuahua) with us, although she was inside her backpack carrier. We understood, and went out way. Before that, my family wanted to celebrate our father's birthday there, but it was lunch time, and the place was packed, and there were four to five groups/families waiting to be seated. So we went to look for another restaurant that can accommodate us.

Plus side: Great food! Large servings. Absolutely delectable, you'll leave the restaurant full and happy, that's for sure. Friendly staff Open until night time (9 or 10pm?) With receptionist/concierge to assist customers waiting in line Contact number available/posted on their Facebook page Their store is on the ground floor of a hotel, so it's perfect for travelers who also needs a place to stay for a little while. With customer parking in front of the store

Downside It's their second location in the city, and the former place was tiny. This current location is considerably more spacious, but with all the customers who wish to dine their during peak hours, the area is not enough that, like I mentioned above, some customers end up building a queue outside. And it's beside the highway, so it's really hot outside while waiting in line. No al fresco dining No pets allowed Limited...

SO ECSTATIC GOING HOME FROM ABROAD AND HAD MY FIRST WORST SERVICE IN THIS RESTAURANT. AFTER WE ATE I ORDERED A TO GO ORDER. WE WERE WAITING FOR OUR TO GO ORDER AND THE SERVER WANTED US TO LEAVE. WE DID NOT RECEIVE OUR ORDER WHEN SHE DID THAT. WE WAITED FOR OUR AN HOUR TO GET OUR TO GO ORDER WHILE SEEING LATER CUSTOMERS GET THEIR ORDER BEFORE US. THEY CAME LATER AFTER WE ORDERED OUR FOOD.

WE ASKED 3 SERVERS REGARDING AN UPDATE AND NO ONE CAME BACK. OH THE MANAGER CAME BACK AND TOLD US THAT OUR ORDER WAS PUNCHED IN AT 5:18PM AND IT'LL TAKE 32 TO 40 MINUTES UNTIL IT IS DONE. WE WAITED UNTIL 6:00 PM AND THE PIZZA IS STILL NOT READY. WE ASKED ANOTHER SERVER AND HE DID NOT CAME BACK NOT UNTIL WE ASKED HIM AGAIN AND TOLD US THAT THEIR ARE TOO MANY ORDERS WHICH DOES NOT MAKE SENSE BECAUSE WE ORDERED FIRST BEFORE THE LATER CUSTOMERS ORDERED.

WE ASKED ANOTHER SERVER AGAIN AND TOLD HIM THAT WE NEED AN HONEST ANSWER IF THEY MADE THE ORDER OR NOT. THAT WAS THE ONLY TIME THAT OUR ORDER WAS FINISHED AND IT WAS 6:12PM.

I DONT CARE WHATEVER OTHER PEOPLE THINK THAT THEY MAKE GOOD FOOD. THEY HAVE EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE AND COMMUNICATION. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE ANYMORE AND WILL NEVER RECOMMEND IT...

One thing I really appreciate about Grumpy Joe La Union is how fast they serve the food. Service was quicker than we expected, which made the dining experience even better.

Here’s what we ordered: • 12” 5 Cheese + Grumpy Pizza = 11/10 The best combo! Flavorful, cheesy, and filling. Honestly, it can get overwhelming if it’s just for two people, so I’d recommend going for the 9” instead if you don’t want leftovers. • Pesto Seafood Pasta (Mild Spicy) = 10/10 Very unique! I loved how it had roasted cashews (I think?) which gave it an extra texture and nutty twist. • Grumpy Joe Refreshers = 11/10 Superb! For a second I thought I was drinking a mojito—refreshing and fun to sip on. • Lemon and Lime = 8/10 Good balance of sweet and tangy, though not as exciting as the other drinks.

Another plus point is how they handle takeouts. They wrap your leftovers right in front of you, which assures you that your food stays clean and untouched.

Our total bill came out to less than ₱1,500 for 2 people, which is already such a good deal considering the serving sizes and quality. Definitely worth a visit if...

I have been going here since 2018 when they were still located in center part of San Fernando City, La Union. They have since expanded in different locations - Baguio, Dagupan and San Fernando, Pampanga which I've been to multiple times. This place is famous in this region as tons of people - locals and tourists - flock this restaurant. Getting a table may be difficult especially during peak dining hours and weekends and special occasions such as holidays. Waiting for a table to free up may take an hour or more depending on the day. My favorite of all time, is their Peanut Butter Fried Chicken rice meal. You can never go wrong with any of their appetizers: Mozzarella Sticks, Salad and their Quesadilla (which, you may be surprised, is huge and good for about four people). My drink recommendation is their Grumpy Refresher. I would put their price in the "well worth it" category, and any time is a good time to dine have your meals here.

No coordination among team members. Food was mid. We ordered 1 9in 5 Cheese Pizza and another 9in Grumpy Joe Pizza. What arrived was a 9in half and half so we had to order another 9in half and half. The 2nd order came in too late so we decided to just have it to go. While waiting for it, we were served a 9in Aloha 5 cheese so we were so confused. Apparently it was for the table next to us. We also tried their new truffle pasta - it had a sour after taste. There are way better truffle pasta out there. Their Grumpy Joe Special burger was good. 🤝🏽 When we billed out, we paid via bank transfer since the only other mode of payment was through cash. After we paid, another staff member came back and brought us the receipt (which we already paid) and asked us to pay it. We explained that we already paid and she didn’t even apologize for the confusion. Honestly, not sure where the hype came from. The service can definitely be improved.
