JUNE 17, IN A STARRED REVIEW, IF I COULD GIVE HALF OF A POINT TO OUR VERY RECENT EXPERIENCE WITH JOLLIBEE SEVILLA SAN FERNADO CITY BRANCH, PARTICULARLY THEIR DRIVE-THRU SERVICE, I DEFINITELY WOULD. POLITE DRIVE-THRU CASHIER, THOUGH, BUT SHE TOLD US THAT THE POS, I BELIEVE THAT'S WHAT THEY CALL THAT COMPUTER, LAGGED, SO WE WAITED FOR FEW MINUTES TO FOR ONE OF THE MANAGERS AND FOR THE POS IT TO COME BACK ONLINE. WE PLACED AN ORDER FOR A SIX-PIECE CHICKEN BUCKET. WE WERE IN A HURRY. WE PROCEEDED TO THE NEXT WINDOW TO GET OUR ORDER, BUT WERE PROMPTLY TOLD TO PARK OUR CAR BESIDE THE PARKING AREA, NEAR THE DRIVE-THRU EXIT. BEFORE WE WERE ABLE TO PARK, WE SAW ONE DRIVE-THRU CUSTOMER GET OUT OF HIS CAR, AND WHEN HE CAME BACK OUT, WE NOTICED HIM FOLDING CASH INTO HIS POCKET. PROBABLY GOT IMPATIENT AND TOOK HIS MONEY BACK. WE STARTED NOTICING THAT THEIR SERVICE IS SLOW. SO WE PARKED. ONE OF THE CREW CAME OUT, HANDED PACKAGES TO THE DRIVER OF THE CAR BEHIND US. WE WERE GETTING ANNOYED. IT'S TAKING SO LONG FOR US TO GET OUR SIX PIECES OF CHICKEN! OUT CAME ANOTHER CREW MEMBER, APPROACHED OUR VEHICLE, AND ASKED IF WE ORDERED 4 SPAGHETTIS. NEEDLESS TO SAY, IT MADE US MORE AGITATED, HAVING BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR THE 6-PIECE CHICKEN BUCKET. THE BACK PARKING LOT GUARD PROBABLY NOTICED THE LONG LINE OF CARS IN THE DRIVE-THRU AND CAME TO INVESTIGATE. IN AN ANNOYED TONE, I EXPLAINED THE SITUATION AND UPON HEARING IT, HE WENT INSIDE THE STORE. MY FATHER GOT OUT OF THE VEHICLE, THREATENING TO GO IN AND RANT A COMPLAINT, BUT MY MOTHER AND I DISSUADED HIM. A MANAGER CAME OUT AND ASKED, YET AGAIN, WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS, AND OF COURSE, WE WERE OBLIGED TO EXPLAIN, AGAIN, WITH MY FATHER OBVIOUSLY VERY PISSED. THE MANAGER ASKED FOR THE RECEIPT, BUT I TOLD HER ABOUT THE FACT THAT ONE OF THE CREWS WHO CAME OUT EARLIER ALREADY TOOK IT. MANAGER WENT IN. WE SAW A SERVICE CREW SERVING A BUCKET OF CHICKEN TO SOME CUSTOMERS INSIDE. INCREDULOUS!! AT THIS POINT, FIVE OR SIX CARS BEHIND US WENT THEIR MERRY WAY AFTER GETTING THEIR ORDERS. THE SIX-PIECE CHICKEN BUCKET HAS YET TO MAKE ITS APPEARANCE. AND FINALLY, AFTER ALMOST FREAKING 45 MINUTES, THE MANAGER BROUGHT OUT THE IMPERTINENT CHICKENS, AND WE COULD HAVE BEEN VERY ECSTATIC TO BASK AT THE GLORIOUS JOLLIBEE CHICKEN JOY AROMA. BUT NO. When i requested for a larger part chicken the counter lady was nice enough to request it at the back but i didn't like how the manager reacted upon the request, he was shouting at the back that all chicken are cut the same and given me a much smaller piece and the lady told me that all pieces are the same upon how the manager utter it then, i returned it for the same piece as the first one and when the lady returned it the manager shouted 3 times to make sure i would hear it, that is so unprofessional for someone given that position, it's likely to put them in a character development training first maybe then he would be aware that kind of attitude is not acceptable for jollibee customers. i know the establishment is holding an image to the public and i've notice that your ratings are really low for a jollibee franchise. i think you need a new manager maybe the head office should be more aware about how their employees work. We were there last 11 Feb. It wasn't particularly busy, but the lines were long and there were only 2 cashiers receiving orders.
As usual, the system for the Happy Plus card was not working - a norm for most Jollibee branches in the area.
The cashier who entertained us was slow and apathetic. When asked about the deals in taking up our order, she mentioned about understaffing and lack of team work within the branch. While we were complaining about her mistakes in taking our order, her colleagues (including a female manager) at the back were just giggling. There were also lots of unnecessary yelling among the staff that it felt like I was just in an air-conditioned marketplace. A male manager heard us complaining and all, but just ignored us.
Ultimately, the food served to us was below the usual Jollibee standard. My Champ took them 30 minutes to prepare and the patty was dry. The burger steak was swimming in gravy and the chicken joy was dry and cold.
