I’m giving Zyx Katsumaki a measly 1 star, and frankly, it’s a stretch to even grant them that after my experience. I had high hopes for their Chicken Teriyaki and Zyx Maki, but what I got was a complete letdown from beginning to end.

The Chicken Teriyaki was an absolute disaster—it showed up ice-cold, like it had been forgotten somewhere before being dumped on my plate. There’s nothing more disappointing than expecting a warm, flavorful dish and getting something that feels like it came straight out of a fridge. The taste didn’t redeem it either; it was dull and lifeless, missing that sweet-savory teriyaki kick I was craving. Whatever they’re doing back there, it’s not working.

The Zyx Maki was just as awful, if not worse. Instead of a proper roll with fish or sushi-grade ingredients, all I got was a crab stick overwhelmed by a pile of bonito flakes. That’s it—no variety, no balance, just the aggressive taste of bonito flakes dominating every bite. The crab stick was barely noticeable, and without any fish or real sushi elements, it felt like a cheap shortcut masquerading as a roll. It was a one-dimensional mess that left me questioning why it was even on the menu.

And then there’s the soy sauce and wasabi situation—pathetic doesn’t even cover it. They gave me a pitiful dribble of soy and a tiny speck of wasabi, nowhere near enough to season even a single bite properly. It’s such a miserly portion that it felt like an afterthought, making an already bad meal even more aggravating. I was stuck rationing it like it was some precious resource, which just added insult to injury.

The service was no better—slow, uninterested, and completely detached. No one bothered to check if I was okay with the cold food or the sad excuse for a roll. The place itself was cramped and uninspiring, matching the lack of effort in the food. I walked away feeling cheated and still hungry for something decent. Zyx Katsumaki needs a serious overhaul—cold teriyaki, a crab-stick-only “maki” drowned in bonito, and stingy extras make this a spot I’ll never revisit. One star,...

Staff are not really good They didn't know how to deal their customer I'll buy teriyaki noodles and sushi, and I'll told to them that the noodles is not good and the sushi also the taste also is not good But the staff insisting that thats there version how to do it and how they cooked it, then I'll said I'll want to refund myoney even half of the price but the staff arrogantly saying no I'll can't give How is it possible that this staff talking to me like this, I'll have a right to tell what is really the taste It's not my first time to eat sushi or teriyaki noodles, this kind of staff, he needs a proper training for customer service and food handling, it's really 😞😞😞 I'll return my food!!! I'll pay for the amount more than 300 pesos but what I'll get in return, bad service arugant answer, disrespectful to their customer, not good in customer service, and his body language it's not really good, he just left me at the counter without saying sorry or do anything at ease my bad mood, so really...
