Tabehoudai Buffet is a must-try buffet in San Fernando. I recommend you try this at least once.
Pros: GREAT food selections for the price. The dessert section alone is enough to send any sweet tooth to heaven! Imagine having ice cream in a bowl meant for congee?!?! Ang laki!
The main selling point of the buffet resto is their Japanese section. Aside from this, however, there is a wide variety of Korean dishes as well - - including samgyeupsal!
CONS: It is not advisable that you arrive without a prior reservation. The place gets really packed. At its fullest, the aircon has a hard time keeping the place cool; conversations can be very difficult (but, if you're there to eat, no problem) ; the back-to-back seats need improvement - - lahat ng galaw ng nasa likod mo, mararamdaman mo! this is a big hassle if there is a kid behind you (which is what happened to me) ; just like in one popular buffet chain, there will be singing for birthday celebrants. Problem is sintunado ang mga kumakanta (as in confidence na lang nagdadala).
Overall: this place is worth trying at least once. Great buffet with a very...
Read moreWe came for dinner on a Thursday. There was 11 of us and they were able to accommodate us. It felt like we had a designated server, he kept our area clear of dishes as we kept getting more food.
TBH, the sushi and sashimi was meh. I've had better in the States and in Japan but maybe this is top quality here in the Philippines, I don't know. The miso soup was also not very appetizing. Most of the food was barely hot, so it felt like it was sitting there for a while. If it was warmer, it would feel more freshly cooked.
The tempura was really delicious and the various Filipino dishes were also tasty if a little cold. I loved the banana crepe and got some chocolate from the choco fountain on it. They also have a halo halo bar which was nice. I actually grabbed corn from a different section and made mais con yellow.
Overall, it was an okay experience with a variety of food and a decent price. I'll probably try other buffets before choosing to...
Read moreIt's surprisingly good. Was hesitant to try at first since I thought it was a Japanese buffet because I am not really into japanese food like sushis, but it was mixed cuisine.
The Filipino dishes on the aisle close to the drinks and dessert all tasted soooo good. From the lechon to the roast beef all table round.
They have sukiyakis, sushi, makis, tacos, samgyup viands, soups, vegetable dishes, desserts, drinks, and more!
I just don't like their japchae. Was a bit salty to my liking. I was only able to try the Filipino dishes and the desserts and got full already.
Their bibingka was so good, too. Drinks have a few selections. Basically, for its price of 698, it's definitely a steal.
