We decided to book a ticket at Sky Ranch Pampanga and look for a perfect place to stay in. I found out that Hotel Gracelane is somehow a decent hotel that's near to the place. ||||Upon arrival, the lobby guard is very approachable so is the porter who handled our bags, i'am not sure if they can do early in since we arrived early before the check in time and they let us in, but Unhappy that the receptionist checked us in a VD room so we need to transfer and look for another room. We stayed in Room 218, well, this hotel is quite old and updated but i found the room nice and privy coz our room is on the second level depending on which kind of room category you reserved.|||| Amenities are quite complete, but a little bit disappointed in their shower bidet. Didn't bother to have it fixed coz we are in rush going to sky ranch.I also like the idea of putting extra pillows so that no need to call HK to ask for extra, AC is working good, so is the cable tv, mosquitoes are everywhere maybe because the place is like a garden hotel, full of flora and fauna, Night time is quiet and peaceful, WIFI is odd that you need to logged out and in again to connect, restaurant has a nice ambiance, the grand piano gave an elegant look for the dining area, though breakfast is kinda lousy that you only have 2 options to try, coffee is self service, ||||Called for check out and room check, surrendered the key to their attendant let them check the room and once it done, they just say all is good. After when you pass by the lobby area, receptionist are aloof that they're not even bidding goodbye to their guest or ask them to come back and they'll just busy doing their own thing. It's kinda impolite. ||||Overall it's worth the price and value for money. I only like the place and I wouldn't mind...
Read moreIncredibly rude staff at the front desk and the restaurant! AVOID this place if you want to be treated with hospitality and warmth! None of the three people at the front desk during the two days of my stay smiled. On the first day of my check in, when I asked if there was wifi, the man at the front desk roughly said the password was inside my room. The next day, when I asked the "lady" behind the counter why I was given breakfast vouchers for only one day when I had paid for two days, she said that I should GO BACK EVERY AFTERNOON to get the vouchers for the next day!
I went out and left my room keys at the front desk. When I came back in the afternoon, there was a different "lady" there who very curtly gave me back my room keys but, just like all the rest, refused to smile. Is it prohibited for hotel staff to smile???
I asked for complimentary water from room service (by phone). When it had not been delivered after 30 minutes, I went to the restaurant to follow it up. The "lady" behind the bar pointed to a pitcher of cold water on top of the bar. with a scowl and refusing to look at me, she said they delivered it to the wrong room. And so they expect me the customer to pick it up??? I took the pitcher to my room.
During breakfast, I asked about the choices. The man angrily said that there were only two choices: eggs and luncheon meat or eggs and squid. As usual, he, like the rest of the staff, was gruff, curt, and unsmiling, and almost angry.
The only persons who smiled were the security guards. The front line staff were incredibly rude and...
Read moreThe hotel is not that big but the rooms are spacious enough for 2 (or even 3) persons. Rooms are clean and properly maintained. The restroom is not that big but it's clean. They also have a nice garden where guests and guests' visitors can hangout. The staff are nice. The complimentary breakfast was a typical Filipino dish (garlic rice, luncheon meat, sunny side up, and danggit) which is just fine for me. But it would have been better if they also included tea, coffee, or hot choco.
As to the location, I think it's safe, very accessible, and convenient. It's also relatively quiet considering that it's near the highway. It's near two malls (Walter Mart and Vista Mall) but if you want to go to SM Pampanga or Robinsons you'll have to take 2 jeepney rides which will take roughly 15mins.
As for (minor) complaints I have, you can't connect to their WiFi inside your room. I'm not sure if it's the case for all the rooms. I stayed in a Superior Room. But when I went to the resaturant in the morning I was able to connect. Another complaint I have is the lack of complimentary slippers and toothbrush/toothpaste. Most of the hotels I have stayed to have these things included.
Would I stay here again? Yes. And I would also recommend it to others. The price is okay. Not cheap but not...
