Positives: - location, beachfront ocean view - 3x hammocks that ppl don’t use much (busy roaming the island) - 3x meal tables facing the beach (so can do takeaway meals and eat like those pricey restaurant view places) - aircon may look dated but it’s cools fast and it’s cold, gf had to turn it down - kitchen that has all you need to cook (stove, fridge etc) - free drinking water (cold too!) - couple mini bbq Filo style for meat sticks n fish - bakery across the road and near lechon manok n liempo (bbq chicken n pork stalls) - Enrico and wife are kind hearted ppl, they will chat if you like but will also leave you alone if you wish Initially booked 1night, extended for another 2nights and ended up staying 2 weeks! (Let the island and accomm grow on you!) TIP: that’s a small candelaria ‘Tugkaran Food Stuff’ 2min ride east and we ate there every day (go early as food is cooked fresh daily at 5am and runs out by 1pm, not much left after 3pm) Food is traditional home cook Filo meals and very affordable and 3x ladies that run it are so kind!

For budget travelers, digital nomads, or remote workers, this place is perfect. My boyfriend and I paid around ₱3000 for 2 nights. Our room had a balcony with a chair, air conditioning, desks, multiple outlets, a clothes rack, a private bathroom with a bidet, and provided toiletries. They offer fast and free wifi, although it's better to work during the day or afternoon as it can slow down at night, especially when using a VPN. There's a shared kitchen with kitchenware available for borrowing and complimentary water. They also have motorbikes for rent starting at ₱350 per day. The location is near Bucafe, Pitogo Cliff, and various restaurants and bars. It's also beachfront. Overall, it was worth the money. The only downside was that communication before our arrival was a bit challenging. Additionally, they didn't mention their port pick-up service, and when we didn't avail it, they seemed disappointed upon our arrival.

10/10 Thank you, Nanay Maria and Tatay Enrico, for providing me with a safe, comfy, and lovely stay in your guesthouse! I love the place so much—the view, the shared lounge area, and even my neighbors. It's the best spot for watching the sunset and stargazing! The wifi isn't that bad either! It's a super safe place; sometimes, I go out without locking my door. Nanay Maria, Tatay Enrico, and Sheila were incredibly accommodating. Plus, they offer rented motorbikes for only 300-350. Thank you! See you next year! I'll be staying there again for 2 months!

We stayed 5 nights at this accommodation and were very disappointed, here's why:

when we came to check in, although Agoda said check-in time was 1:00 PM, we were told 2:00 PM at the accommodation. When we arrived at 2:00 PM, the host was surprised that it was already 2:00 PM and hesitated to accommodate us. The first contact was negative.

The walls of the houses are made of a very thin material, you can hear everything from the neighbors. 5 sleepless nights because a neighbor was snoring and it sounded like he was in the room with us, on other nights guests were accommodated who didn't sleep all night and you could hear everything they were saying perfectly.

The lack of electricity on the island is a frequent problem, we understand this phenomenon. Other accommodations that don't have a generator have reduced their prices for this inconvenience.

Out of 5 nights, in 4 we only had electricity for 2/3 hours during which we could benefit from the facilities we had paid for (AC, Internet, hot water).

The choice of this accommodation was made precisely to benefit from these facilities, otherwise, I would have chosen a cheaper accommodation).

I went to request a discount because we do not benefit from the facilities and either use a generator or give us a discount for the inconvenience.

The hosts' response was that the gasoline for the Generator is expensive and that they do not offer discounts. I paid 22 usd / night, and similar accommodations that do not offer AC can be found in the area for 15 usd / night.

In the last 2 days the host accepted in rooms for 3 people to accommodate many more people who even slept on the bed outside the accommodation, which led to the crowding of the common space which is already limited.

In conclusion, this accommodation should be avoided primarily due to the hosts' attitude, which is very indifferent and oriented towards profit and less towards the comfort...

Only one good thing: the view of the sea

Other than that: disastrous From the beginning when we arrived there was no welcome, only: ‘is it 2 PM already?’ on a tone that made us understand that we were not welcome there. It was actually 2 PM and the check in hour on Agoda was actually 1 PM…

Second problem: there is no electricity on the island. Many places do have though generators, and I’ve heard from other people that many accommodations that were offering AC, wifi and hot water reduced their prices since they are no longer able to provide the services. But not this one. Because it is non refundable we asked to have some money back but they said it’s not their fault so that’s the life…

Third problem: the walls are paper thin. We couldn’t sleep for 3 nights out of 4 because of the noises. One night our neighbors didn’t sleep at all so we didn’t sleep either.

Fourth problem: even though they have capacity of 3 people per room they accommodate many more. The small yard is full of people talking loud from early morning to late night, playing music and cooking - some even sleep outside on a matress.

Fifth problem: the entitled attitude of the hosts. Never did they come to apologize or ask how we feel. Even though ‘it’s not their fault’ they always had a...
