We waited nearly two hours for our food today. While the restaurant was busy and we were patient for the first 45â60 minutes, things quickly went downhill. A large group that arrived at least 30 minutes after us started receiving their meals while we were still waiting. Thatâs when our waitress asked what we had ordered - clearly, our order had been lost or forgotten.
Mistakes happen, but what followed was unacceptable. Instead of prioritizing our food, we watched multiple other tables (all of them had arrived well after us) receive their meals. Each time we asked about our order, we were told someone would check with the kitchen, and we were advised to come at a less busy time next time - hardly a helpful response.
After about 75 minutes, only one of our three dishes showed up. By the time that person had finished eating alone, we asked if the restaurant could at least offer a round of drinks to make up for the wait. The waitress said sheâd have to pay for it herself - an absurd policy, especially for a busy place like this that certainly makes enough money to make up for the occasional mistake.
Eventually, she admitted that the other two meals had been mistakenly served to another table - something we had suspected and even pointed out earlier. Instead of correcting the issue right away, the staff apparently debated who would be held financially responsible for the mistake.
This kind of internal blame-shifting, at the guestsâ expense, is embarrassing and unprofessional. While the food was fine once it finally arrived, the experience was completely soured by the lack of accountability and customer care. We strongly recommend spending your...
Read moreAngel Wish Restaurant in San Juan, Siquijor, Philippines, offers a delightful culinary experience that I had the pleasure of savoring. Here's a review that captures the essence of this charming eatery.
I had the pleasure of indulging in the Seafood Pasta Arrabiata at Angel Wish, and it was a culinary delight. This dish featured a generous selection of clams, calamari, and shrimp, all elegantly presented in large clam shells arranged in a circle. The combination of seafood and the spicy arrabiata sauce created a harmonious and flavorful ensemble.
My date opted for the Seafood Sisig, which was equally impressive. This dish showcased a delectable medley of shrimp and clams, served in a sizzling skillet with a sunny side up egg and rice. The sizzle and aroma as it arrived at the table added to the anticipation, and it certainly didn't disappoint in terms of taste.
The venue itself adds to the overall appeal of Angel Wish. With its open-air setting, diners have the opportunity to relish their meals while enjoying the proximity to the beach, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.
In summary, Angel Wish Restaurant in San Juan, Siquijor, offers a delightful culinary experience with its seafood specialties and open-air beachside location. Whether you're savoring the Seafood Pasta Arrabiata or the Seafood Sisig, the flavors and ambiance at Angel Wish make it a memorable dining destination...
Read moreWe visited here last May 2024. We ordered on this restaurant bc of its reviews and they offer freshly catched seafood but you can see that some of the fish were already frozen.
We were excited to try the crabs đŠ as they were still alive, the resto offered to cook it depending on the dish we like. However, when the crab was served it had a bitter taste! Iâm from Luzon and live near beaches so I know the taste of fresh seafood from not. I can say that the crab they gave us was definitely NOT fresh!!! We were really disappointed! The fish we ordered had bitter taste which you wonât immediately notice bc it had lemongrass on its sauce.
The 2 things we liked about this resto: the fruit shake and the staffs who helped us.
I agree with the previous comment that they offer free drinks if you give positive reviews on google hence the high ratings.
Next time Iâll visit Siquijor, Iâll go back here and see if they improved. Please!! This resto has so much potential bc of the seafood they offer,...
