Our stay at Runik was ok, however it was made much better due to the great service from Rexton, Mick, Pancho, Roy, Phil, and Joreme being an amazing an attentive team, they made us feel at home with their warm personalities and great food and drinks. The sunsets are unreal so I would go for an evening to eat and drink and enjoy what Mother Nature has best to offer but I would stay elsewhere đ
We stayed in a glamping tent for 3 nights, and for the premium price we paid this did not live up to what we expected. We expected more from Runik for the very high price we paid per night. Though the tent is nice with 4 single beds inside, aircon, fans and mini fridge, I would say comfortably it fits 2 adults (3 or 4 would be a squeeze). From the day we checked in we were the only people staying at the establishment until our last night. What disappointed us was the cleanliness, the shared bathrooms were not cleaned properly from when we arrived to when we left. I work in the hospitality industry and whenever there are new people arriving we ensure everything is replenished and cleaned. On arrival we used the bathrooms, there was marks in every toilet, dirty toilet seats where we couldnât feel we could sit down and use the toilet properly. There were dead insects on every shelf and in every corner, one cubicle had bird poo all over the floor and we didnât use that cubicle for the whole time as it was never cleared. By the second day we had to take toilet roll from other bathrooms as these were not replenished. Just the general housekeeping was not ok for the price paid. There was no offer to tidy our tents either and like I said for the price they are charging these are the small things we wouldâve expected. These small issues added up and frustrated us and I know it doesnât take much to be solved however for the 4 days we were there nothing changed just more dead bugs on every surface and wet dirty toilet seats, no replenishment of toilet roll and just the general cleanliness was not worth the money in our eyes. We couldnât understand stand it as we were the only people there. It was just disappointing when there are SO many lovely guesthouses and little rooms dotted around the island for a quarter of the price and much better standards, I wouldnât stay here again. Also, on our last morning there was a drilling sound coming from the main area at 6am, it felt thoughtless as we are sleeping in tents with no real walls we can hear everything, we were woken by this very loud noise that got louder and louder.
Like I said the team and service was great in the restaurant and bar just the general housekeeping needs to be MUCH better if you are going to continue to charge that price, the standards need to be upped and the price needs...

Runik is just an absolute hidden gem. Of course I rented the Sunset Villa and yes it rents at a standard American Price but for what you get I thinks it's more than worth it. (Hopefully they dont go crazy with it and keep it reasonable) I was the first to rent this Villa but you feel like the king of the castle đ° over looking the rest of the property with its glamping tents and amazing view of the sunset! (Hence the Name) I had to stay for at least 2 nights as I had my own private upper deck and jacuzzi, a stone shower with a sun window đŞ to filter in all the rays and its own beautiful ceramic tub for 2. Although I was traveling solo this Villa is made for 2 with his and hers accouterments throughout, including your own private bar and prestocked fridge. The beautiful Alexa who was the property manager at the time and now I believe handling their marketing was so accommodating & cordial as she met me at my room to accompany me on a private tour of the property and further enhanced the royal treatment experience. One of the best spots I have ever stayed for the price, but certainly đđ˝ the beat spot I stayed in the Phillipines. I know they are still doing some expansion and renovations to this locale, so Im excited to see what that looks like when I return, but I just hope đđź it doesn't ultimately become an over run tourist spot like the Coco Grove Beach resort next door. Keep in mind this IS an Adults only club, so it's not for kids and families but if you are looking for a spot to treat your significant other for their birthday or whatever other special holiday, I say book in advance and ask for the Sunset Villa, if even for a night đ on the gorgeous but quaint island of Siquijor, you won't regret it! Cheers...
Read moreWe came to eat here at the end of our trip because we heard it's so amazing or what. I've never written a review but after my subpar experience here I just wanted write this.
First of all if you want to eat here you'd have to pay for the entrance fee, which includes special seating. If you don't want any special seating, there's the general entrance fee which is lower.
When you arrive at the area you'd have to navigate through a narrow road that fits only one vehicle lol. Not something I was expecting for some fancy club.
We just paid for the general access fee and they seated us at the bar. I don't know why, they do have restaurant seats
The place looks okay, great view of the sea and that's about the only good things I could think of the place.
Their menu comes in a form of a QR code lol. I get that 99% have smart phones but that is so silly. They did not proactively offer wifi for us to connect, so we can access their silly menu. I did ask if they had any physical menus but said they were outdated.
Food is overpriced. I'm aware of the overpriced food but I was think maybe there's something that could justify the price, so I went with ordering the strip loin steak, the seafood pizza, truffle cream pasta, and and Ebi roll sushi. They tasted great but the portions are too SMALL, who gets full after eating this??? Even their sides are overpriced lol. There's nothing in there that justifies the food prices.
Now I eat fast so chances are I get hiccups often. I asked the person at the bar for service water and he says it's only offered at the restaurant. Great service lol. Why not find a way to get me service water.
All in all I spent about 4k pesos for some subpar posh club. Feels pretentious really. Most hotels and restaurants would offer better experiences and you won't have to spend 4k....
