This place is incredible and offers everything you need for your stay in Siquijor. The staff were lovely from the moment we arrived, welcomed us with welcome drinks and helped with our bags when we were ready to check into the room which was up the road. There was a sign welcoming us to our room (see picture) which was a really nice touch. The room was very clean and everything provided for, even a fridge with water, Cokes and beers and a kettle. They offer bike rental at a really good price and very accommodating if you need anything else. We ate at the restaurant several times for breakfast, lunch and dinner - the waiting staff were very good at their jobs and the food was incredible, especially the sweet and sour chicken which I ordered with garlic rice. They also made us packed breakfast for when we leave and took us back to the port. Great location with tubod Beach close by, along with other popular sites and beaches within 20 minutes. We extended our stay here by three nights as we loved it so much. No complaints, would definitely recommend!

Great location with very spacious room! The garden was so beautiful and it was so peaceful. It’s a walking distance from the restaurant located on the main road making it away from the busy street. The only thing that needs a little improvement is the fact that they only got 2 pillows and the toilet water got dirty (like it had sand on it). Maybe because it was closer to the beach? The food in the restaurant was so good as well but the service was a bit slow. Other than that, everything was great! The owners are super friendly and their dog Mona was a bit of a fashionista 🥰 You could alse rent a motorcycle from then which only cost 350 pesos!

We had the absolute pleasure of staying here for 4 nights, and we wish it could have been longer. Probably the best place you can stay on the whole island. Amazing friendly hosts, the most delicious food (the mango and banana pancakes for breakfast are an absolute must), good scooter hire and they kindly even offer a laundry service which we took advantage of. Thank you so much for having us, and we can’t wait to return :-)

DISHONESTY AND GREED

Copy of the message sent to Chekesh Casa explaining my very negative review.

.../... I informed you on March 21 that my flight with Cebu Pacific from Cebu to Dumaguete was cancelled for the second time in 1 week, first from March 20 to 21, then from March 21 to 25, causing major problems in my journey timing and accommodation bookings.

Then I was not able to get to Siquijor before March 26 but I needed to go back to Dumaguete on the 28 to fly back to Cebu before flying back to Europe next day.

So I had to cancel my journey to Siquijor and contacted every Guest House in Dumaguete and Siquijor to explain my problem and the reasons why I couldn't come and cancel all my bookings, before contacting Booking and Agoda providing them proof of flight cancellation.

Very simple to understand.

ALL Hotels and Guest Houses understood and AGREE with Booking and Agoda to cancel my bookings to refund me...

ALL EXCEPT CHEKESH CASA.

Why ?

May be just because :

  1. You don't care that a guest cannot come because airline cancelling flights 2 times in 1 week without any valid flight alternative and I do not trust Cebu Pacific Airline seriousness anymore.

  2. You don't understand that if my return flight is also cancelled, I also loose my flight ticket back to Europe

  3. Your GREED FOR MONEY is more important than service and basic HONESTY needed in tourism business.

You could have agreed with Agoda to refund me at least half of my money booking as a compensation BUT YOU DID NOT.

Shame on you.

I'll make sure to communicate by all means about your dishonest behaviour and share the bad publicity...

Food itself tasted fine, not bad, but there were other issues that ruined the experience.

First off the lasy serving was very confused and unsure, and clearly inexperienced, though i feel bad saying that as she was obviously trying her hardest. Had to retell multiple times what we wanted before she got it all down.

We were then told the food would be a 20 minute wait, which is no issue if it actually took that long. After about 10-15 we got our coffee and tea, and it was missing the milk and sugar we requested with it. Had to ask again to get it. Girlfriend asked if the milk is an extra charge the server didn't even know if it was or not.

Then finally after at least another 20 minutes or so my order came out first, the American breakfast. It was barely warm and had clearly just been sitting for a while before being served to me. The bacon was overcooked as it can get before being burnt, "toast" was barely toasted, and plate was missing the banana that was supposed to come with it. Had to ask 3 times before the banana came out. Girlfriends food came out a few minutes after mine and also was not hot either.

Maybe we just got unlucky with the staff on at the time but I would not recommend getting...

Hummmmm… sorry but it wasn’t good unfortunately.

We wanted to have burgers and a sandwiches to make it different from typical local food. We chose this place because their offer on those items is pretty large. We thought that could be the place to try for.

We haven’t finished our food, was dry, not seasoned, not fresh… I mean it was terribly bad. We are sorry to go through the internet to let you know our impression but nobody from your team wanted to ask and hear even after taking back our plates.

The menu is super large, the price is okay, and the waiting time is so long (they had to leave in scooter to get the bread for our sandwich).

We know that you guys doesn’t wanna miss an opportunity to sell something a costumer’s want but here is our suggestion (and we have managing kitchen experience ++): Reduce drastically your menu, make the best you can with your items and try to have it steady. Enjoy your own food, do not try to please everyone, people will enjoy and will come back for your expertise. Take it or leave it, we are not saying to brag you down.

We wish you the best PS. The French fries were...
