✔ The resto boasts of a variety of Filipino cuisines which are really great-tasting! I can attest to this because we are a regular at this branch whenever we are travelling South. We usually dropby in the morning to have breakfast and it was always a pleasurable dining experience. The restrooms are clean.
❌ We were a group of 11pax when we came in that morning. My family went to look for a table while i went straight to the counter to order our food. We were on our way to a beach in Laiya and i thought it was a good idea to have breakfast first since it'll be more than an hour more to reach our destination. I stood infront of the food counter for quite some time waiting for somebody to attend to me but everyone seemed busy doing their own thing until i've decided to speak up and call their attention. Inattentive staff or maybe still sleepy.. tsk!
Anyways, our meal went well. Ordered the basics for a breakfast fare; plain rice good for 11pax plus 3 extras, itlog na pula with kamatis, tocino, longganisa, pritong biya, ginisang ampalaya, chicharon and just a pitcher of iced tea cause the rest just wanted to have plain water (foods are shown in the photo). My family enjoyed our simple meal and it made me happy being the host of this outing. Until i had a sip of my iced tea! I was almost done with my meal.. only a spoonful left when i noticed an insect floating on the side of my glass! It was already bloated so i could tell it had been together with the iced tea all those times. I didn't say a word to my family fearing that they would lose their appetite so i stood up and showed it to the waiter/staff. He said maybe the insect was just new and jumped into my glass without my knowledge! Haha.. how funny! I went to the staff in the food counter and told her what i've found. I've even suggested that they should clean and change the contents of the iced tea maker but she pointed me towards the direction of the cashier so i won't need to pay for our iced tea anymore! Huh??! I am not fishing for a free pitcher of iced tea here! I wanted them to address the issue, but they were all passive and no sign that they were even affected by the said occurence. I was so disappointed! Not even a supervisor were on site to attend to my complaint. But that doesn't end there. I've paid a hefty amount, almost P4,500 for that meal incl. some takeaway of tocino, fried biya and longganisa plus a box of yema worth P500! It was my fault not to ask for an itemized billing cause i am sure there was an error in the computation. If it wasn't miscalculated then their food must be really pricey for us to have eaten that much amount. Again, photos would show what we had for our breakfast.
Note: After publishing my review in FB, the mgt. made a public apology taking full responsibility of the incident and stated that it was merely an isolated case and unintentional. They promised to address all the issues mentioned. The owner was conscientious enough to send me a gift cert worth our total bill to be consumed at any branch as a token of their sincerest apologies. Apology accepted! All's well...
Read moreTLDR: came here for the generous bone marrow refills. Left disappointed. All good things must come to an end.
Used to come to this place with my family whenever we visited Batangas. The last time we came here was around 2021 post-lockdown. Weve come to know this place as having the tastiest broth soup, generous serving size, and exceptionally tender beef. One of the Best places to get bulalo in my opinion. Fast forward to 2025 and I just came here with my wife, hyping her up about the bone marrow refills. We specifically drove out of way for that specific reason. Lo and behold, once our food came, we were greeted with a huge serving of bulalo. But when we were scooping up the bone marrow, only a sliver came out. So we asked for a refill and to our surprise, they dont do it anymore. We were given so many reasons why they didnt do it anymore. Needless to say i was extremely disappointed.
Broth soup is still excellent. Serving size is still great. Beef is still tender. Service is still quick and accommodating. Just the bone marrow. Which is arguably one of the main reasons why we used to come here alot. But all good things eventually have to end. It’s unfortunate that this restaurant had to...
