The word Halo caught my eye and I figure the halohalo must be good. 2 car store front parking but there's a bigger parking lot on the lower level of the driveway. It's a big store with 70+ seating capacity so you know this place can handle a big group. Lots of natural light in the sparsely decorated interiors. Price points seems a bit high at first but food portioning seems to be sharing size. Serving time for food took around 15 to 20 mins. Good food presentation and food is visually appetizing. The Mango Garden Salad seems to be topped with an endless layer of sweet Mango. The salad has a lingering white onions and peppery aftertaste. The Aussie Cheeseburger on the other hand is as good as it looks. Toasted buns, nice sear on the patty which is very dense. The Fries which are soft not crunchy was the first to disappear from my plate. Burger is so messy to eat that I had to deconstruct it just to eat it. Suggest Slicing the bun 2/3 ratio would be better as the burger is heavy. You have to try this if you like a well made burger. The halohalo is expensive but the taste is incredible. Not too sweet. Lots of ingredients. Great texture. Shaved Ice is smooth and flavored. Overall with all the stuff in there it still maintained a balanced taste. HaloSalo is climbing up the chart for my fav. Go-to place in Tagaytay. Do Check it out... Save space for desserts and get the halohalo.. There's 5 of them...
Read moreHad late night dinner here. Food is good, especially their halo-halo (forgot to take a pic but I got the langka version). Their halo-halo and con hielo desserts are around 300-400.
Food is quite expensive tho. We the tapsi which is abojt 500+ and the caldereta worth 700+.
The caldereta tasted okay. Good but not the best one I've tasted. Tapa was on the sweeter side. I was supposed to ask for vinegar but just ended up not asking bc I think they have fewer staff bc it's late night already. But when I saw the pic outside, the tapa had vinegar along with it. Hahaha. I think they just forgot. It also came with 1 hot drink (kapeng barako or choco). I got the coffee and the server asked how many sugar and creamer packets I need and I told her 2 each. But never gave it and forgot. She only remembered when she served the halo-halo and she apologized. Haha. It's okay tho. I wish they'd be more attentive. But they were nice tho so it's fine. Will probably go back only for the...
