I am 100% sure about which Jayteeâs branch Iâm referring to - and Iâm putting extra effort into writing this because of how deeply disappointing and infuriating my experience was.
Let me start by saying this: If you donât want to lose more customers, fix your people. From the front desk to the crew, and most especially that manager- whose attitude was beyond unprofessional - everything needs a serious overhaul.
⸝
Overpriced Food + Dubious Billing Practices
The food is ridiculously overpriced. On top of that, they add VAT and service charge, which would be understandable if the service was anywhere near acceptable - but it was the complete opposite: lazy, dismissive, and dishonest.
⸝
Card Payment Drama: Full of Lies and Excuses
Iâve always paid via credit card at this branch. So imagine my shock when, at checkout, I was suddenly told:
âSir, we donât accept card payments. Wala pong WiFi.â
Funny - there was a visible WiFi network named âJTâ and several others in range. I even offered my mobile hotspot. Still, they refused.
I pointed out the âCards Accepted Hereâ signage at the entrance. They ignored it and started blaming each other for not informing us upfront. One front desk girl lied to my face, denying she welcomed us - when in fact, she did. I wonât forget that frown she greeted us with.
When I insisted on trying the card, they came up with excuse after excuse: Terminal might double-charge (I said fine, Iâll call my bank). Then suddenly, no thermal paper. THEN, a final desperate excuse from the manager: âSasamahan na lang po namin kayo mag-withdraw.â
Absolutely insane.
I refused and demanded again to try the card. Guess what?
They magically brought out TWO working terminals, plugged one in, connected to my hotspot, and guess what - the transaction went through. Just like that. So all the excuses? LIES.
⸝
đ Management, Are You Even Aware?
I have to ask: Is this a tactic? Are your people told to refuse card payments just to avoid the bank charges? Because if thatâs the case, youâre not just greedy - youâre shady.
And your receipts - are they even properly reported to the BIR?
⸝
The Food and Service? Donât Even Bother. ⢠We waited over an hour for our food. ⢠Groups who came after us were served first. ⢠I had to follow up multiple times. ⢠Ordered sinigang and bulalo â but they gave us plates only. I had to ask for soup bowls. Seriously? ⢠The place smelled like trash. We were seated near the âoverlookingâ area, but all we could smell was garbage. Disgusting.
⸝
đ In Summary ⢠Overpriced ⢠Bad food taste ⢠Intimidating, lazy staff ⢠A manager with an unbelievably unprofessional attitude ⢠Questionable billing practices ⢠A place that smells worse than a public market
⸝
I will never go back, and I will keep sharing my experience so others know to stay away from this branch.
Jayteeâs - if you donât start fixing your service and stop deceiving your customers, you will lose even more than a few stars. Youâll lose trust - and thatâs almost impossible to recover.
This level of service is beyond unacceptable....
Read moreâ ď¸ URGENT WARNING: DO NOT FALL FOR THE "ONE TAGAYTAY" RAFFLE SCAM! â ď¸ If you are asked to fill out a "raffle" form requesting your personal information, especially your phone number, while visiting this establishment, STOP IMMEDIATELY. This is not a legitimate raffle; it is a known, deceptive scheme designed to lure you into a high-pressure sales environment.
The Bait and Switch
The lure is a supposed chance to win a 1-night stay at a One Tagaytay deluxe hotel. Like any raffle, it's designed to appeal to your sense of luck.
Here is the undeniable evidence that this is a scam:
The "Winning" Call: A few days after filling out the form, an "agent" will call you, claiming you have WON the raffle.
The Unbelievable Coincidence: In our case, I, my sister, and my partnerâall who signed the formâwere called by the SAME AGENT within minutes of each other, all claiming to be winners. This is mathematically impossible and a clear sign of deception.
The Catch: To claim your prize, you are told you must pick up the "coupon" at their Ortigas office and attend a mandatory, 90-minute presentation about the hotel's services and amenities.
What Happens Next?
Based on reports from others who fell for this modus operandi years ago, the presentation is a highly aggressive sales pitch. They will attempt to force or coerce you into booking an expensive vacation package or "timeshare" membership that you never wanted.
You might eventually receive the promised "free" voucher, but it will come with severe restrictionsâsuch as blackout dates, mandatory fees, or impossible booking windowsârendering it practically worthless and certainly not worth your time.
A DIRECT PLEA:
DO NOT under any circumstances provide your name, phone number, or any personal details on this raffle form. You are not entering a competition; you are giving your private contact information directly to a group that will relentlessly pursue you with a manipulative sales pitch. Safeguard your privacy and your time.
A Message to Management To the ownership and management of this establishment: You are putting your business on the line. This used to be a good place to spend time with friends and family. Operating or knowingly allowing this deceitful modus on your premisesâwhere you profit from or enable the harvesting of customer data for a fraudulent schemeâis an unacceptable betrayal of your customers' trust. It will permanently tarnish your reputation and drive away loyal patrons. You need to stop this...
Read moreThe place is great however the service really needs improvement, below are some areas the management needs to look into:
Service side: Receptionist is not very attentive, my family are the only ones in front of her however it took her more than 5 minutes just to give us the menu and a seat. Note that the place was not full at that time. Waiters are very disoriented and disorganized. A lot of them are just walking around the floor however no one wants to assist. Waiters are not familiar with the menu they are serving, we asked them several times about their best seller and menu however we cannot get a clear response (probably new?) We asked for a recommended beef dish with great sauce and was recommended one by the waiter however when it arrived to us it was grilled and very dry and when we asked where is the sauce he gave us soy sauce and vinegar... Really... đŠ When we asked for water it took the waiter 30 minutes to get back to us and we were handed a water with very smeared glass.. The one is full and the other one is half full (probably it was picked up from one if the tables at our back, I hope not...), not sure if it was clean though đŠ When we asked for the bill, it took another 15 min just for the waiter to return and present us our bill for the food. When we have got the money to pay for the meal (no credit card is accepted) all waiters are walking around and no one wants to take our bill. We had to bring it personally at the cashier ourselves, knowing the speed of the waiters it will take again 15 more minutes just to get our change.
Restaurant itself: Ambiance is great as well as choice of background music. Place is located in a great prime location. The restroom both male and female have no working faucet or water source in particular. The urinal is stinking so bad due to the lack of water to clean the smell. Even the toilet đ˝ has pooh that wasn't washed down due to lack of water. No one is looking at the cleanliness of the restroom, clearly something to look into by the management team. Tables are not cleaned properly by the waiters after the previous customer, you will still find traces of sauces and rice on the table and chairs.
Parking: Parking area is great, plenty of room and organized. Parking attendants are very accommodating and nice. A plus for the...
