I recently had lunch with my colleagues at this restaurant, and while we were generally satisfied with the set we ordered, there were a few hits and misses.
(2) Bulalo While it filled us up, it didn't stand out compared to other bulalo dishes I've had in Tagaytay.
(1) Crispy Pata Medium-sized dish was very tender, with crispy edges that we all enjoyed.
(1) Sizzling Sisig Considering how cold and windy it is, it'll feel like it wasn't sizzling when served. Little to no heat, so great for people who doesn't have a good spice tolerance.
(1) Inihaw na Pusit Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try this dish, but my colleagues seemed to really love it.
(1) Veggies I wasn't a fan of the way they prepared the vegetables, but it did provide a nice break from the heaviness of the meat.
(1) Platter Rice The rice was good enough for 4-5 people, but we ended up ordering more.
(2) Pitchers of Iced Tea The iced tea was pretty standard, with one pitcher serving about 3-4.5 glasses..
Advice and Remarks: They offer free coffee to help you perk up before your meal or to warm you up on a chilly day. Depending on your group size and preferences, you may want to dine in the kubo or on the second floor. However, be prepared for the wind.
Overall, I'd recommend this restaurant for those looking for a satisfying meal in Tagaytay. While some dishes weren't as impressive as others, the overall experience...
Read moreVery slow service, lots of staff but they didn't know what to do. Most customers left the place unsatisfied, and even the people who queued outside left due to very very slow service. The used plates and tables were left uncleaned for about 1 hour beyond (we left the place and the neighboring tables weren't cleaned yet). The staff moves so slow and weren't accommodating. someone even took a "yosi break" despite the long line outside. I have so many things to mention but overall, it was such a bad experience. The food was ok though, but it doesn't have a wow factor to it. They even forgot to put the meat in our pancit (good thing we pointed it out but they won't admit...
Read moreWent here on a rainy Saturday for an early lunch. We ordered bulalo, kare-kare & ensaladang mangga. The bulalo was a perfect dish for that rainy day. The soup remained hot because it was served in a chafing dish. The meat is tender and easy to cut. The kare-kare was okay (I have a very high standard when it comes to kare-kare because my dad makes the best one in my opinion 🙂) but I still enjoyed it. I also liked the ensalada. It had the right amount of green mangoes, tomato and onions. The staff were friendly and courteous. There were few customers when we were there so I guess they were...
