Tsokolateria — Restaurant in Tagaytay

Best supper place for enjoyable sweet treats in the presence of family! Everything from the ambiance to the interior design of the restaurant - it truly felt like visiting a grandparent’s place for late dinner with family. Loved the many vintage family pictures that peppered the walls, and quaint furniture that felt like a blast to the past.

As the name of the restaurant goes, we didn’t miss the chance to order chocolate everything - champorado, hot chocolate and churros with chocolate syrup! We thoroughly enjoyed the entire dining experience, getting to add on the syrups to the churros, and stirring the hot chocolate in the pitcher with a honey dipper really added to the experience!

While the entire experience had been very pleasant and warm, some feedback for improvement would be the hot chocolate and waffle churros we ordered. Personally, I found the hot chocolate (we got chocolate ah, the sweeter version) a bit too sweet. I felt we could’ve gone for the chocolate eh (with a bittersweet taste) instead which would be the safer option. As for the waffle churros, they were quite bready, much different from the light and airy ones I normally like. Special mentions go to the putobumgbong which was very soft to chew and sticky to the right degree, the palitaw and tablea champorado. We’ll surely come back for them when we visit Tagaytay again!

☕️ Cacao Cappuccino - This is A MUST! to order. It's chocolatey, rich, and tasty. 🤎 (It still haunts me in my dreams, I so want more! 😅)

🍕 Rolled Tarte Flambe - this is a pizza-like flatbread with toppings, served with table and honey. We tried these 2 flavors... Longanisa Tarte Truffle Mushroom Tarte

🥓 Bacon Belly - Open-faced sandwich topped with thick bacon and egg. Served with camote fries and soup on the side.

🥞 Pancake Souffle - they have different flavors available for this selection, we tried 2 flavors which are... Ube at Macapuno Table (Chocolate)

🍃🍫 Matcha-Cacao Frappe - this one is Jet and Audrey-approved.

It's absolutely 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 from our experience with the wait staff catering who were to us...

Tried their Tableau drink, which is warm, and chose the option with vanilla ice cream. I didn't expect for it to be more of like a DIY setup so that was surprising. Got the double size, thinking it would be good for two people. With the double size, you'll be able to pour 5-7 worth of drinks with their tiny cups. The drink was good, but it's a bit too sweet for my taste. Adding a bit of chocolate ganache seemed to make it work better for me. Sadly, drinking another full cup of it got me easily sick of the taste. My companion also got tired of the taste after drinking 3cups of it.

I would recommend the double size for 4-5people.

Their waffle is nice. It's crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside. You do get honey and chocolate ganache at the side to add onto your waffle if preferred. They do make a great addition to their chocolate waffle.

Service is a bit slow. Once seated, it's a bit difficult to get the attention of a staff for your order. And even after getting your order, they wouldn't serve you water. We had to ask them for the water before they serve it.

Parking is limited. However, there's a street across, next to the mall, where you can street...
