Leslie's: A very disappointing experience. Warning: A long review ahead
We arrived on a sunny afternoon from a very long motorcycle ride (150km). There was plenty of parking space and we didn't have to wait in a queue as they also have their own parking for motorcycles.
The table queue was empty but we waited for about 4 minutes before being seated by their staff.
I asked about their menu as I noticed that the food that they are serving are much more expensive than their competitors. They told us that the platter is good for 2 to 3 persons. So we ordered just two viands, sizzling sisig (490) and Kare-kare (599). We also ordered a mango shake that was served almost immediately.
It took around 30 minutes and two follow ups for our order to be served. When I saw our orders, I was really surprised and got disappointed afterwards because the food they served doesn't look it can feed 2 to 3 persons. It's either the staff lied to us or their menu is just very expensive. Their Kare-kare was not worth 599 pesos, it was served cold, the beef skin had lots of cow hairs, and did not really look like it could feed 2 to 3 persons.
Their rice was also expensive for 89 pesos each. THE ONE SERVED TO US HAD A STRAND OF HAIR! At that point, I really lost my appetite to eat. If only I'm not really tired, I would have left and paid for everything we ordered without eating anything.
The sisig we ordered was bland. That's it.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was really nice. It seems like they poured all their budget to the development of their restaurant and not on the taste of their food.
Also, the change provided to us was 300 pesos short. We had to get the attention of their manager and it took around 10 minutes to get resolved.
This was a very disappointing experience for a place that serves expensive food. You only pay for the good atmosphere of the place.

Read moreLeslie's Restaurant had some hits and misses for us. The food was decent, but some dishes stood out more than others. The sinigang was overwhelmingly sour, to the point where it was hard to finish. It's possible that too much sour powder was used, which took away from the overall flavor. On the other hand, the dinuguan was a bit too salty for our taste. However, the shakes were enjoyable and a nice treat. The pinakbet was also well-prepared and flavorful. The pork sisig was okay, but noticeable that the meat was overcooked and slightly hardened.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is a major draw, with a great view of Taal Volcano. However, it's a bit of a double-edged sword - while the view is stunning, the restaurant gets really hot inside during the day. With not enough fans to circulate the air, it can feel quite uncomfortable. Perhaps adding some additional ventilation or cooling measures could make a big difference.
The service was friendly and attentive, but sometimes slow to respond. Our servers seemed a bit overwhelmed, which might be due to the number of guests they were handling. Despite this, they were courteous and made an effort to ensure we had everything we needed. Overall, Leslie's Restaurant is an average spot that could use some tweaks to elevate the experience. With a bit of fine-tuning, it could be a great destination for those looking to enjoy local cuisine...

We went there for brunch but we were able to eat past noon. We tried asking for water like 6 times for almost an hour. If one of our member didn’t stand up to personally try to get water, we would still not be given one. We also ordered banana shake and cokes but they only came when we were already finished eating as we really have to tell the staff multiple times for the order. Not to mention they have high service fee for this kind of service.
Now let’s talk about the food.
Leslie’s is not cheap when it comes to their pricing but when it comes to their food, local eateries taste better. Mas makunat pa yung beef kesa sa mga kakilala mong ayaw magbayad ng utang. The shakes tastes like 1% fruit 99% sugar. The kare-kare is more boring than your deadkid classmate in highschool. The crispy sisig looks like barf. The sisig in 711 looks and tastes more authentic than theirs, and dont even make me start with their lumpiang bangus. They’ve done my man dirty there, they should’ve just kept it bangus as a whole. The only decent one is their tuna belly but i will be lost for words if they mess up a simple dish as grilled tuna belly.
Overall, bad food, bad service, not worth it he bucks. Just eat in...
