This place is always full, like I've never seen it not packed with people. We were supposed to go to another ramen place in BGC but we were starting to feel hungry and we were already in VGCM so we decided to try this place.

The place was kinda warm, and that's not apt for eating ramen. Idk if it's a Venice Grand Canal Mall thing or what but I've been to one more restaurant there which also had ventilation issues. The enclosed part of the restaurant was quite tiny, but you can always eat in the al fresco area.

The food did not disappoint, or at least the broth and the noodles. There was nothing much going on our P250/each bowls but we were pleasantly surprised with the deep-flavored broth. The tamago were salted in probably just salt or salt water because they didn't look like the usual tamagos I see in my ramen bowls. It looked like half of a regular boiled egg but had some saltiness to it. The gyoza needs a lot more improvement though. It felt like I was eating more dumpling wrappers than the mixture of meat and veggies inside. The green mango shake was good as well Overall, it was not bad, but could be improved. I finished my bowl, and that says all's well.

The service was okay. Though the food could have been served earlier, I witnessed how busy they were in their open kitchen. There were big families and groups seated outside so I understand the delay. The staff were actually really attentive and polite, would even bow before and after they speak to you, like what the Japanese people would do. A little gesture I appreciate for a place that doesn't ask for much. We paid for 2 bowls of ramen, gyoza, bottled water, and a fresh fruit shake for what we'd usually pay for just a single bowl of ramen in more popular/posh ramen places. It's definitely value for money. I recommend this to anyone who just wants to enjoy a simple...

Ramen Kuroda Review

Watermelon Shake The color was quite pale, and while there was some sweetness, it seemed like only a small amount of watermelon was used. Could be more refreshing with a stronger fruit flavor.

Tonkatsu Set with Shiro Ramen The Shiro ramen had a rich and flavorful broth. Noodles were thin and cooked to a medium-hard texture, just right for those who like a firm bite. The chashu pork was soft and tender, complementing the broth well. The tonkatsu was crispy, though the pork itself was slightly dry. The set came with free salad, fresh fruits, and a choice of cold or hot tea—nice additions to the meal.

Katsudon Set with Kuro Ramen The Kuro ramen broth was a bit on the salty side, but still flavorful. Noodles were consistent—thin and medium-hard—and the chashu was again soft and well-prepared. The katsudon had a hint of sweetness, which is typical of this dish. Overall, it was decent and filling. Same as the Shiro set, it included salad, fruits, and tea at no extra cost.

Gyoza Nothing remarkable—tasted like standard frozen gyoza from a Japanese grocery. Decent for a side dish but not a standout.

Service Quick and efficient. Staff were attentive and courteous, contributing to a pleasant...
