Chang - Thai Street Food — Restaurant in Gdansk

Ordered takeout two times, excellent pad thai, red curry, duck fried rice, and the Tom Kha Gai soup good the first time. Love how they prepared the tofu, I recommend ordering pad thai spicy (was a request in takeout). Not the best in the world but a decent attempt at Thai food!

The second time we ordered two of the same soups they were too salty to eat. Trying to finish the bowls was like drinking pure salted tomyum paste so unfortunately both of us had to throw the entire broth out after picking out the chicken and mushrooms, that was sad. Just thought Id leave a review about the soup mishap, it was impossible to eat (believe me I tried but just soooo salty)!

I will be ordering here again!!! Am a bit scared of soups and curries in case you guys overdo the curry paste, but I think it was just accidental and hopefully this review will help!

I read previous reviews about food being bland, I think it may be true for dishes you order not to be spicy, so just request spicy so its cooked in with the food. I special requested pad thai spicy the first time and it was great, I forgot the second time and it was blander (just good noodles, nothing too flashy) , my own fault I could have requested the spice its a simple fix. I wouldn't order it plain. Agreed in making the dishes spicier!!

Update 2022: Ordered from you guys 3-4 times delivery this summer, everything was amazing! Especially when dishes are made spicy. Your kimchi is amazing. Ordered food from this place at 18:00, two hours later food has not arrived. Called the restaurant to ask if they are delivering by foot, the person on the phone said that this is totally normal to wait for food for more than two hours. Told him that for me it’s not ok and I want my money back. The guy on the phone refused to cancel my order because the delivery guy was on his way, but he couldn’t tell me how long more I had to wait. Person on the phone refused to let us speak to his manager, never even apologised for the inconvenience and had a super arrogant attitude, laughing at us, interrupting us and was not solution oriented at all. His excuse was that we are not the only one who wants to eat. If you are not able to deliver your customers food within the promised hours, maybe you should evaluate how you are running your business. Ordered pad thai take out.

Pad thai, the sweet, sour and salty noodle dish was neither sweet nor sour nor salty. Basically greasy noodles fried in old/burnt oil with some chicken and a little tofu.

It came with small bits of chicken coated in some kind of flour. My wife is a coeliac and eating any food contaminated with gluten causes intestine inflammation.

The customer service over the phone was unhelpful and obnoxious. We asked about what type of flour the chicken was coated in. We've got the answer that it was wheat (which contains gluten). That was apparently read from the allergen card. The allergens mentioned on pyszne.pl didn't mention gluten or wheat. Later the restaurant called again and claimed it was potato starch.
