Sea House & Nautilus Restaurant- Restauracja rybna — Restaurant in Gdansk

Overall, if you don’t want to spoil your evening - choose another restaurant. Ordered following: Beef tartar. It was cooked from spoiled ground meat (waiter convinced me that it was freshly cut, but it wasn’t). Unfortunately didn’t take a photo. Serving 0/5, Taste 0/5. Risotto with seafood. Rice was undercooked in some cheapest tomato powder with few mussels. Also, for some reason they added one pasta to risotto (some kind of chief’s gift XD). Micro greens tasted awful. Serving 2/5. Taste 0/5. Was not able to eat even half of the dish Lemonade. In menu it was 0,5 in reality 0,25. It was just a water with few slices of old bitter citrus and mint. Serving 1/5, taste 0/5. Herring in champagne. It was just herring marinated in a big amount of vinegar with non marinated, freshly cut onion. Maybe chief drank all champagne before marinating, cause it tasted like regular overvinegarrated herring. Nothing special about serving, it was ok 3/5, taste 2/5. Pork chop. It seems one of the most popular dish in Gdansk and it is really hard to spoil it. Unfortunately, this cafe did it somehow. Pork was dry. It served with potatoes which were even dryer. Half of pork was eaten everything else, according to the taste and look of potatoes, were put into fridge for the next visitors. Serving 2/5, taste 1/5. Sea house plate 3 type of fish. Finally the king of this restaurant (they really recommend this dish). Firstly, salmon: I thought it is impossible to cook tasteless salmon, but this one was overcooked and over-salted. Another fish had the same problem. Cod was tasty, no questions to it. The dish was served with potatoes (same as pork chop, seems like it was in the fridge for quite a while before we got it on our plate), along with some vegetables. Vegetables were frozen and just boiled in hot unsalted water before we got it on our plate. Serving 3/5, taste of cod 4.5/5, everything else 0/5 (thrown to garbage).

Also waiter gave us some bread - it was neither tasty nor fresh at all.

Summary: I visited a lot of restaurants, but i have never experienced such awful serving and tasteless food. At least i will remember this restaurant and i will never recommend it to anyone.

I really hope that restaurant owners will do smth with that, cause 4.1 in this restaurant was given by users who visited it 5+ years ago. Now it deserves no more than 1.

Good food, although not especially large portions, but the service was terrible. We had a blond waitress, middle aged, and from the first second she made it very clear she was serving us against her wishes. In Poland customer service is considered an alien concept in most places, but this was quite bad even for Polish standards. We had an English-speaker with us and she ignored him until somebody translated it in Polish for her, absolutely no effort from her side to speak a bit English or to atleast help the tourist. The tourist ordered a soup before the main dish, but we never received the soup and when we asked about it, we received the comment "Hmm, you must be mistaken that you ordered this because I didn't write it down." (because she can't make a mistake obviously). We was with a group of 6 and meals were delivered not at the same time but with 10-15 minutes difference between them. We had a 5-year old child with us for whom we ordered chicken nuggets and fries, we received them only 60 minutes after ordering and after 2 reminders to the waitress. At that time everybody else already had their main meals for 5-25 minutes (fish dishes, roasted duck, pastas. Seems chicken nuggets should be much faster served than those). We ended the day with the request that we wanted to pay separate, and even though she said it's possible, she kept entering the full price on the bank card machine and complained we are changing our opinions the whole time... All in all an experience to quickly forget. We will definitely never visit this place again, and because of this waitress' behavior they lost 15.000 zl as we was doubting between Nautilus and Nad Potokiem for our wedding party, but we will be hosting that in Nad Potokiem who gave much better service, service with a smile. Recently we have organized my step mother's 80th birthday celebration at the restaurant. We wanted the celebration to be special, and have been planning it for a long time before arriving to Poland. The celebration took place and we, and all the guests have enjoyed the festivities more than we anticipated. The food variety and quality was exceptional. All of the prepared food had something special to it. I specifically loved the steak Tatar with crushed peprcorns that gave it a specific taste compared to milled pepper and the mackerel cured in champagne, very tasty. We have contracted for the celebration a DJ. We had a swell of a time and all of the attendees were elated as to the overall Ambience of the celebration party. We were given private space as we were 32 people and felt really private.
