"Sonata" is a lovely small cafe/restaurant in Cieplice's pedestrian zone, just a few minutes away from the charming town's health center and recreation park. We enjoyed dining there on various occasions - and their home-made meals were always a good choice to us. Ms Monica, a sweet waitress with her reasonably good command of English, always did her best to cater our special needs, e.g. by replacing parts of a specific dish for us or following our request to cook some meat exactly the way we prefer it. At "Sonesta" they arrange dances with a trumpet player's live performance every Thursday night and guests seem to love it! They place is also famous for their home-made cakes and other pastries. Kein schönes Erlebnis, wenn man sich nach einer langen Wanderung auf leckeres Essen und Trinken freut. Der Kellner hilflos bis uninteressiert, von der ohnehin kleinen Speisekarte sind offenbar alle Hähnchen-Gerichte nicht da (Keller zuckt hilflos mit den Schultern) und so einigen wir uns alle auf ein Gericht, dass die Zustimmung des Kellners findet. War aber keine gute Wahl, das Gulasch ist aus Putenfleisch, der Kartoffelpuffer ertränkt in brauner Tütensauce und alles ist lauwarm. Eine halbe Stunde vor der Lokalschließung um 20.00 Uhr kommt unaufgefordert die Rechnung und durch herumräumen wird deutlich gemacht, dass es an der Zeit ist zu gehen. Ogólnie szału nie było. Wybraliśmy zupy bo pierogów nie było. Rosół przesolony, flaczki też nie powaliły na dni pływali coś jakby piasek, poprawny i smaczny barszcz z krokietem. Jedna osoba wzięła ser z frytkami i tutaj to totalna porażka, ser pachniał i smakował rybą tak jakby odsmazany był w tluszczu po rybie dodatkowo gumiasty i ogólnie niesmaczny, frytkami w smaku jak ugotowane a nie smażone, niechrupaly, surówka to już zupełna porażka, niesmaczna. Jedynie dobre było piwo. Dodatkowo od wejścia do złożenia zamówienia czekaliśmy dobre 115 minut, obsługa nas mijała mimo że było widać że jesteśmy zdecydowanie wiemy co chcemy zamówić.
