Was my first time in the restaurant, very nice business meeting. The food offered is fresh prepared, with focus on regional ingredients and specialities, but not limited to it. All dishes had a little twist to make the out of the ordinary, what I immensely enjoyed. My personal favorite was “Hekele”, a starter made of herring filets with onion and marinated cucumber. While it is usually done with finely chopped ingredients, sometimes even with minced ones, here everything was just roughly cut and recognizable, what tastes more interesting. The salad sauce was a piece of culinary art, with green olive oil, sour cream, and kind of Dion mustard (extremely fine mustard seeds, and with little high quality acid - not the nasty industrial taste from store bought Dion mustard). It was served with three different kinds of bread and butter. Yummy, yummy. The homemade lemonades were all honestly homemade, the level of sweet was personalized, if needed. I had pierogies with duck meat and unroasted buckwheat - huge portion, be warned. ;-) Unique taste, and the dough was light and soft with a touch of semolina in it. Read moreThe desserts are delicious. Pavlova meringue is the best I have ever eaten - let me add that I am considered to be their great connoisseur (I consume more than 100 per year). Ramsey's cake is also worth considering. Very tasty dishes/main courses. The service needs improvement. We spend more time for a bill and payment terminal than dinning itself. Order waiting time also seems to be too long. However waitress(es) are very polite and well-mannered. This restaurant is in my top 3 restaurants in Katowice.
