Our best restaurant experience so far!
We stayed one night in Katowice, and on our first day, we decided to eat out. We chose Masala House, as my boyfriend lived in India for 4 years and wanted to eat something from that cuisine. The place itself was very cozy with autenthic Indian vibes.
The food was amazing, but we would like to highlight the Indian lemon water, which became our favourite drink soon. We ordered probably 4 cups in a row! The butter chicken, the tikka masala, and the naan were perfect too! Our waiter was a very nice man from Bangladesh, and we spoke with him about India, Bangladesh and its people. He was very friendly and attentive, which made our stay there very pleasant.
We liked Masala House so much that we went back the next day too. One thing that we would like to mention -because it warmed our heart so much- that after we asked for the bill, he gave us some indian lemon water as a gift, because āhe saw that we really liked itā. We appreciated this gesture of his so much, that we spoke about it for days after! This small thought of his made our day! We had a 6 hour bus trip ahead of us, and during our hardships there we just drank from our āmagic drinkā and immediately became energisedš we would like to wish all the very best to this amazing man, who made our stay in Katowice so memorable!
We would also like to recommend Masala House to everyone visiting Katowice, because dining there was truly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs a reviewer, I recently had the pleasure of dining at Masala House on a Sunday afternoon and I must say, the food was outstanding! The variety of flavors and spices used in each dish truly transported me to the heart of India.
At first, when I entered the house, it was house full š and we didn't have book a reservation. Luckily we managed to get a table.
Next with the biryanis, both the chicken and lamb options were cooked to perfection. The rice was fragrant and fluffy, and the meats were tender and flavorful. The spices used in each dish were perfectly balanced, and the addition of herbs and nuts elevated the overall taste.
The golden fried prawns were also a standout dish. The prawns were crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside, and the seasoning was spot on. The dish was accompanied by a delicious sauce that perfectly complemented the prawns.
Finally, the mango lassi was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The lassi was creamy, rich, and had the perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess. It was the perfect way to cleanse the palate after such a flavorful meal.
Overall, I would highly recommend Masala House to anyone looking for delicious, authentic Indian cuisine. The quality of the food and the service were both exceptional, and I cannot wait to return and try more of...
Read moreWe recently ordered home delivery food for six people from Masala House in Katowice, and it was an absolute delight! Our order included: ⢠6 Butter Naans ⢠Chicken Tikka ⢠Chicken Kolhapuri ⢠Paneer Vindaloo ⢠Jeera Rice ⢠Veg Fried Rice
As Indians living abroad, we often miss the authentic taste and comforting flavors of Indian cuisine. But this meal truly made us feel at home. Every dish had its own unique flavor profile, perfectly spiced, and true to its Indian roots.
The Chicken Tikka was tender and smoky, while the Chicken Kolhapuri brought just the right amount of heat and richness. The Paneer Vindaloo had a perfect balance of tanginess and spice. The naans were soft, fresh, and butteryājust the way they should be. Both the Jeera Rice and Veg Fried Rice were flavorful and served as the ideal base to enjoy the curries.
We were also very happy with the generous portion sizesāgreat value for money! The food was well-packaged, arrived warm, and didnāt disappoint in any way.
Overall, Masala House has won our hearts. Itās not easy to find truly authentic Indian food outside India, but this place absolutely nailed it. Highly recommended for anyone craving real Indian flavors...
