Another welcome addition to the small but growing number of " quality" restaurants in the upper Krolewska' hood...It was surprisingly full at 4:00 P.M on a Sunday with plenty of to-go and delivery orders flowing in the door as well. This is obviously testimony to the restaurant's present popularity. We started off with a couple of good, tart cocktails and drifted into the crunchy panko fried eggs starter which I liked very much. As for the soup , the Tonkotsu ramen was a heady affair with a rich full broth and plenty of goodies bobbing along inside it....Generous portions of pork belly , egg and other unidentifiable bits , plenty of noodles and more than I could finish. My wife had the Ebi which was a lighter broth and highly recommended by our very nice server. She especially enjoyed the grilled shrimp and once again this was a generous bowl. This is a cheerful , attractive space ( and dog friendly!) and obviously popular as every table was taken. While no expert on ramen, given the quality of the ingredients and the generosity of the portions I thought this was good value and I certainly didn't leave hungry. I'd love to see them serve some ice cold Japanese beer as it would go very nicely with the Ramen...more so than the heavy Polish brew they have on hand but that's just me... Well worth a visit if you fancy a satisfying bowl of something soothing ,...
Read moreWe ordered 4 different ramens and some drinks so I'd say I have a good idea of the place after one visit. The ramens were nice, umami, not too salty, a little on the fancy stuff (compare to traditional minimalistic ramen in Japan), with lots of toppings - which I like. I'd work on the choices of toppings a little more - the cabbage in the tantanmen was not the best choice and the grilled chicken in Shio ramen was quite boring and without any flavor. And there's not much Nori, bean spouts and Pak Choi which are classics. I'd also love garlic and ginger paste on the table, but the homemade sauce that was there was really nice. If it was a little more seafoodu it would be incredible. I was not a fan of a sweetness in shrimp ramen, just not my cup of tea. The noodles were nice and stretchy, I really liked the quality of those. And the portion is nice, not too much and you don't feel stuffed afterwards. The waiting time is normal for Polish ramen bars, would prefer it faster but I'm not complaining. Overall this is IMO the 2nd best ramen in town for now and I'd recommend checking it out, especially as for now it's not that crowdy. I'll definitely keep an eye...
