Indian Flame. Indyjska restauracja Kraków (طعام حلال) — Restaurant in Krakow

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The staff were rude, especially one waiter who was disrespectful. He approached us and, in an unfriendly tone, asked, “Why are you here in Poland?”

When I requested gloves because the cutlery was dirty and there were no disposable ones available, he replied, “We don’t have gloves; that’s why we give you this,” while pointing at the cutlery. His response was unprofessional, and the lack of hygiene was concerning.

The waiter also made a rude comment about my country, saying, “Your country is very hot; why don’t you stay there?” His behavior was inappropriate and unnecessary.

I chose not to escalate the situation at the time, as I was with my family, but I was very disappointed by the way we were treated. I did record his comments without him knowing, which I believe could lead to issues with local authorities, but I will not do so because it’s not the owner’s fault, it’s his unprofessional staff.

I’m writing this review because it’s important to highlight the treatment we received. As a tourist, I expected better service and professionalism.

I also considered filing a complaint with Krakow’s hygiene department and the tourist office to report how this restaurant treats tourists, but I decided not to do so as it’s not the owner’s fault, it’s his unprofessional staf. If this is how you treat paying customers, maybe you should put up a sign saying you don’t want tourists at all.

I will never return to this place and will make sure everyone I know...

Probably the best Indian restaurant I've ever been to! Wonderful service on January 1st. Yes, it was open and full with locals. My wife and I ordered starters and main dishes and topped it off with tasty garlic naan. That was a LOT of food! Our starters were very tasty, but the seconds--Chicken Madras & Chicken Biryani, were out of this world. The madras was ordered spicy hot, and it was just right. The coconut based sauce was excellent-the best I've ever had! My wife raved about her Biryani as well. To drink we ordered lemonade (fresh-squeezed and excellent) and a Mango Lassi, again to die for. Ok, I was a bit surprised to see this hidden gem in the area that is not touristic, fancy or full of young people. When we walked in there was no customers at all and place is pretty regular. But FOOD…well that is why you’re going to the restaurant, aren’t you? That is super delicious! We tool Chicken tikka masala and vindaloo, ordered it spicy and it was just perfect! Not “let me see if you handle it” spicy (like all you UK-based Indians do: total show off) but regular spicy that you can normally find around Delhi or Jaipur.
