Familia Marco Polo — Restaurant in Sopot

Me and my partner stoped here for a delicious meal with the fish.We chosed it carefully by the Internet opinion searcher. At the beginning we were a bit shy because of elegant inside of restaurant (it was a hot day and we were dressed up like tourists). However we came inside.We were not disapointed! Lady who was kind to service our dinner was very helpful and sympathetic. For our meal we botch chosed rombo in truffle sauce. Whole dish looked beautiful -it was garnished by very tasty zucchini "noodles" and delicious salad. The fish was absolutely perfect in taste and way it was fried. Whole meal was delightfull and very satisfying. We also took desert: strawberries with sweet egg yolk accompanied with vanilla ice cream. Just like previous dish it was beautifully served and very tastefull. Meal was pricey but absolutely worth it and I hope we visit it again...

We had a very poor experience eating here. The interior looked really high quality and we are going for a traditional Polish experience. However, hospitality lacked heavily. The waiter did not pay any attention to our table favouring a bigger party. He left us literally mid sentence to greet someone else! It was a Monday evening with not a lot of tables filled! Meat in jelly starters were very tasty but dumplings were not impressive at all even though presented quite nicely. Pork schnitzel was really good and there were split opinions about the fish. Desert menu was given to us and we were forgotten again for more than fifteen minutes! After all this the waiter was surprised that we did not order dessert. No tip. Avoid!

We had a really wonderful evening. As starters we enjoyed herring and beetroot-soup - a dream. Then we got sandacz, goulasz and duck. Every plate was an eyecatcher, but more important was the exciting taste, marvelous! For dessert we had chosen warm apple pancakes and polish wodka, both a dream for finishing this unforgettable evening. The team was very polite, professional, warm and friendly.
