Ryba Bar — Restaurant in Sopot

Ryba Bar, what should I think of you? The food is definitely decent, but in Sopot, there are several better places to eat fish.

I'll start with the positives: FISH SOUP - I can definitely recommend this; it was truly delicious, one of the best I've had, with a generous portion of meat. Service - Extremely kind and helpful. There was a small mistake with our order, but it was immediately corrected. Big kudos for that.

As for the fish as main courses, I wouldn't say they're bad; they're certainly good, but not perfectly seasoned. I feel like something was slightly off, also the potatoes, which tasted as if they had been sitting out for a while.

Would I recommend it? Definitely, if you're in the mood for fish soup; not so much if you're looking for a...

Beautiful small restaurant. Specialized to the seafood, mainly fish. It is obvious that they focus on only few meals and do it good. Some appetizers are big enough for a lunch. Waiter (wearing a funny shirt) speaks good english and is ready to advise with your choice. He will also let you know if some side dish is already included so you don't order it twice. We had salmon tartar, sea bass and the flounder. All simply prepared, tasty, not oversalted, which I appreciate. It started as a nice lunch, but at the end we were not amused. A polite waiter, an excellent Fisch soup, a delicious cod dish and cold Drinks. Everything seemed to be perfect. At the end after the payment we noticed, that the Cod dish hast been billed 22 Zloty higher than written in the menue. The Argument of the waiter was: The billed price is the correct price and the price in the menue belongs to the dish mentioned subsequent in the menue and that this is not only wrong in the english menue but also in the polish one. And If I look at the top of the menue I would have noticed that the First price has shifted and so are the followings. Nice excuse after getting 22 Zloty...
