BROOKLYN — Restaurant in Warsaw

I'm giving two stars because food is ok. Not over the moon, but decent (except for the coleslaw which is quite bad). Bit pricey.

However I had a terrible experience with the manager. We walked in and stopped at the sign that said to wait for staff to show you to your table. At first nobody was there so I asked my partner to wait for someone to approach us and I'll go to wash my hands and come back (there was no sanitizer around btw). A I start walking downstairs a manager runs to me, and in a very rude and unprofessional manner tells me to stop and that I'm supposed to wait for him to "allow" me to use the bathroom. When I ask why he says "Those are the rules here". I walk back three steps up and he says "Now you can go to the bathroom". I decided not to at that point and wait for someone to tell us where we can sit down first. No one pays any attention and after almost 10 minutes of waiting we ask a waiter, if we can sit. He responds "Of course, wherever!". Only my partner decided to order food, as I was too agitated.

After that manager ignored us completely. He is a rude man, that clearly doesn't care if patrons will return to the venue. And we probably won't.

Day one i visited this restaurant. We arrived at 10 pm , they were closing shortly they let us know about it , we had visited this restaurant because we had no other option at this point anyway. They also let us know that only few things at the menu were available at this point. Food served here is fast food so no high expectations but part of the staff there were making fun of us for using English and generally mocking our every move. SO professional but they should have known that not speaking Polish does not mean you cannot understand people mocking you.

Day two i visited this restaurant. I had zero wish to sit there and dine so i asked for takeaway. The waitress gave me the change 10 zloty short and was kind enough to forget the burger i had ordered before fleeing downstairs as she only delivered me the salad. My order did contain a burger and a salad. After almost chasing her downstairs we managed to get the rest of our change and the rest of our order. The food is mediocre at best. All in all just visit some other place than this overrated garbage...

In presentation and taste, the 69 zł spare ribs at Brooklyn on Rondo ONZ far triumphed yesterday's 170 zł steak I had elsewhere. I feel fulfilled.

I walked by this place many times and from outside it seems like a low grade fast food joint but I was very pleasantly surprised finding a cosy dining setting and even a large basement with a cool bar that wouldn't look out of place in Central London. No tacky music but a tasteful playlist fitting the American dishes.

Spare ribs I'd rate 6.7/10, taste was excellent but slightly thicker cuts with more meat would be warranted. Nonetheless it was super good, so were the sides and especially the good draft beers. The place has happy hours for 1+1 beer from 16-19 all weekdays and on this central location, I'm sure I'll be back.
