We arrived to find a fairly busy restaurant, although a lack of general organisation saw tables for 4 taken up by one person sitting directly next to a table for one. First tip, when you are busy, maximise your space by seating customers in a more thoughtful manner.
Having realised that nobody was going to let the 4 of us sit down inside, we waited outside for a table to become free. We waited around 20 minutes in the booming sunshine and with two small children, so when a table became free, and we had waited another 5 minutes for a server to clean the table, we decided to sit down and get the children in the shade.
The server came to the table and decided to complain that we had not waited for her to clear the table. Not the best start.
We ordered juices, food and coffees, and pointed out that, if the the children's items came first, this would not be a problem, however, to avoid putting pressure on the kitchen, if we could simply get a side order of bread and butter, that would keep them going.
The bread and butter never arrived and the food and drinks all arrived at once, 45 minutes later, just as we were about to get up and leave.
Nothimg that was served was worth the wait or the price. Eggs that looked and felt like they had been cooked for the entire 45 minutes in one plate, runny but greasy eggs on another. "Hot & Spicy" iced coffee that was just a watery mess, not spicy in the least. A "frappe" that was just a latte poured over ice cubes.
Such basic errors that could all be fixed with a little care and some strong leadership which are the two things that this place has...
Read moreWe went there because it has such high notes but idk, maybe it was a bad day or something... the experience was really bad. The person serving us seemed very confused and as if they didn't know anything about their own menu. We ordered three drinks and three cakes. The order came seperate with long breaks in between, the person serving forgot to bring part of the order even though they had it prepared somewhere on the counter. When we ordered we asked for drip coffee and that person asked 'what kind'. Happily, we replied 'light roast' but we were met with utter confusion and the person replied with 'no, would you like more chocolatey or fruity'. Obciously that person doesn't know anything about coffee and didn't know how to make a proper drip. The brew was underextracted and could hardly be called coffee. It was just dark water with no taste. We also had baileys coffee that tasted slightly alcoholic and that's it. There was no flavour, no coffee, no nothing. Tea was supermarket quality teabag. The cakes were good and that was the only nice thing...
