We got scammed me and my friend and my cousins, we visited the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw with my friends and family, and it was a huge disappointment. We were hoping to enjoy the view from the observation deck, but there was a lot of fog that day. At the ticket counter, we asked if the fog would clear up at the top and if we’d be able to see the city without the fog. The staff had no answer and told us they weren’t sure. However, we later realized that the staff at the top can easily communicate with those downstairs and would know if the weather conditions are suitable for a view. So, they knowingly sold us tickets for 30€ (for four people), even though it was clear there was nothing to see. When we got to the observation deck, we were shocked to find the city completely covered in fog with no visibility at all. We tried to ask for a refund or any sort of compensation, but the employees just shrugged it off and told us they weren’t meteorologists, so there was nothing they could do. That’s just rude and unprofessional! It’s incredibly frustrating that they still keep the observation deck open when they know visitors won’t be able to see anything. It feels like a complete rip-off. I’ve been here before, a year ago, and the view was stunning with no fog, which is why I wanted to bring my friends and cousins this time. I would have been fine if the fog was just an unfortunate part of the day, but the staff’s attitude and the lack of transparency are inexcusable. Avoid this place unless you want to be taken...
Read moreThe Pałac Kultury i Nauki (Palace of Culture and Science) in Warsaw is a remarkable and iconic landmark that leaves a lasting impression. Towering over the city, its imposing Stalinist architecture stands as a bold statement of history and cultural ambition.
During our visit, we were fortunate to have perfect weather, which allowed us to fully appreciate the surrounding outdoor spaces. The landscaped gardens and open esplanade provide ample, well-maintained areas to sit, relax, and soak up the atmosphere. We brought a picnic and found plenty of clean spots to enjoy lunch with this magnificent building as our backdrop.
Inside, the Palace is home to theaters, cinemas, museums, exhibition halls, and concert venues, offering something for every interest. The variety of events on offer adds vibrancy to the experience, and the staff were helpful and welcoming throughout our visit.
The highlight was ascending to the panoramic observation deck on the 30th floor. From that vantage point, the city of Warsaw stretches beneath you in an unforgettable panorama—skyscrapers, green parks, and the Vistula River all visible under clear skies.

The building as such is to promote cultural activities in Warsaw. There are theaters, cinemas, concerts etc that are held here. One can buy tickets for the same online and also at the palace of culture itself. There is also a lot of cinematography equipment inside the building. The building is apparently the tallest in Poland and has a mind boggling number of rooms, over 3000!! The building is showcased in beautiful lights in the evenings, till late the night. There are also special themes projected on the building using lights on occasions. The building is located right next to Warszawa centralna Station and you can say is located basically in the heart of the city. There are a few small eateries around the building. There are also some places to sit and enjoy your beer. There is a kind of boulevard on one side, some fountains and also some oversized hammocks for the public. A visit to Warsaw without a visit to palace of culture is...
