BRUNCH & CELEBRATION — Restaurant in Warsaw

So I decided to go there with some family and to be honest, I was expecting a little better given all the good reviews. First of all, the menus are only accessible through a QR code. I'm young so I don't usually have a problem with that but the issue is that they don't have ANY physical menus. I thought that was very annoying because I came there with my grandma and my parents (who aren't very tech savvy) so they were all pretty confused about the whole thing. (FYI I'm polish so it wasn't a language barrier thing lol)

Next, the food was alright. I ordered a burger with fries. The meat was a bit dry, and the bun was stale but, I wasn't expecting anything insane either. The price was a bit steep for what it was but at least I got full. My mom got a matcha and it was very average. Some of the portions (like the shrimp dishes) were definitely smaller so keep that in mind whenever you're ordering.

Finally, the atmosphere was lowkey bad. It definitely looks like one of those places made specifically for instagram posts. That in itself, I don't have a problem with. However, on top of that, the music in there was way too loud, the air conditioning was quite weak, and the inside will feel pretty cramped if you're planning on going in a bigger group.

The best thing about the experience was the waiter who was actually super nice and friendly so props to him :)

We visited Brunch&Celebration during brunch hours and were warmly welcomed at the door by the lovely waiter, Ivan. We received a unique drink menu – beautifully presented in the form of flowers – which was a delightful touch. We ordered the goat cheese toast, scrambled eggs with truffles, and the savoury waffles.

The food was absolutely delicious – especially the scrambled eggs, which had a generous amount of fresh truffle. Big points for the fact that the truffle wasn’t just in the name of the dish but truly present in flavor!

The restaurant itself is very stylish yet has a light, pleasant atmosphere. If it were possible to give extra stars for service, we definitely would – it’s been a long time since we’ve experienced such friendly and professional service. Nie polecam tej restauracji i raczej nie wrócę.

Po pierwsze – nikt z obsługi nie informuje wprost, że do rachunków powyżej 250 zł doliczany jest automatycznie serwis w wysokości 12,5%. Można tę informację znaleźć jedynie na stronie internetowej, ale uważam, że skoro jest to opłata dodatkowa, gość powinien być o niej poinformowany przy składaniu zamówienia. Tym bardziej, że ceny są tak wysokie, że we dwie osoby trudno zejść poniżej tej kwoty. Poprosiłyśmy także o rozdzielenie rachunku przy zamawianiu – oczywiście finalnie nie było to możliwe.

Jeśli chodzi o jedzenie – było w porządku, ale zdecydowanie nie warte tej ceny. W wielu miejscach w mieście można zjeść dużo smaczniej, taniej i w znacznie przyjemniejszej atmosferze.

Największym zaskoczeniem była obsługa – kelner mówił do nas “moje kochane”, plątał mu się język, śpiewał, tańczył… Było to co najmniej nieprofesjonalne i momentami po prostu niezręczne.

Zamówiłyśmy dwa drinki – jeden miał być w kieliszku w kształcie muszelki, drugi w kształcie kobiecej sylwetki. Kelner poinformował nas przy zamawianiu, że szkło “z kobiecą sylwetką” zostało stłuczone i nie mają go już na stanie – ok, rozumiemy. Natomiast nikt nie wspomniał, że muszelek też nie ma, a finalnie otrzymałyśmy zupełnie inne szkło. W tak “instagramowej” restauracji, w której wystrój i forma podania są głównym magnesem, takie niedopatrzenie (i brak informacji!) jest bardzo nie w porządku.

Na koniec – rachunek. Kelner przyniósł go z komentarzem, że “jest tak dobry, że nie doliczył serwisu”. Dziwne, bo nasi znajomi, którzy byli tu kilka godzin wcześniej, mieli serwis doliczony automatycznie. Brak konsekwencji, żadnej przejrzystości. Dodatkowo kelner aż dwa razy poprosił o napiwek, co w restauracji na wysokim poziomie (tak jak się przedstawiają) było po prostu żenujące.

Podsumowując: miejsce ładne na zdjęcia, ale zero transparentności, niespójna obsługa, przeciętne jedzenie i przegięte ceny. W tej samej cenie można zjeść w restauracjach o prawdziwie wysokim poziomie – tu mamy tylko ładne wnętrze i...
