Izumi Sushi Biały Kamień – A Japanese Oasis in the Heart of Warsaw
Hidden within the green tranquility of Mokotów, Izumi Sushi Biały Kamień is not just a restaurant — it’s an urban jungle sanctuary where Japanese refinement meets tropical warmth. Here, the line between nature and architecture dissolves. You dine among towering palms, bamboo, and sunlight filtering through glass ceilings, as if the sushi bar were growing out of a forest floor. This is a place where silence hums like soft jazz, and every detail — from the ceramic teapot to the sheen of fresh tuna — feels curated with quiet mastery.
Atmosphere & Design The interior is breathtaking — a greenhouse of glass, wood, and life. Massive palm trees rise through the center of the dining space, surrounded by lush foliage and wooden walkways. Warm light reflects off natural wood beams, while the bar area glows softly with golden bottles and the scent of soy and citrus.
It’s part tropical garden, part fine-dining temple — a rare space where one can feel both alive and at peace.
🍣 Sashimi & Sushi The sushi here is exceptionally fresh, prepared with the precision and artistry of Tokyo’s omakase culture but served in a setting that feels distinctly European and free.
Traditional Sashimi Set (156 zł) Twelve slices of carefully selected salmon, bluefin tuna, yellowtail, and whitefish. Each piece was perfectly cut — soft, glistening, and melting upon the tongue. The presentation, adorned with lime, daikon, and edible flowers, felt like a watercolor painting.
Fusion Rolls Platter A feast for both eyes and taste — vibrant rolls layered with avocado, eel, spicy tuna, salmon, and tobiko. The balance between textures (crispy, creamy, tender) showed thoughtful craftsmanship. Even the rice had the perfect tang of seasoned vinegar — authentic yet modern.
Hot Dishes & Appetizers Grilled Scallops with Creamy Miso Sauce Served in their shells, caramelized to perfection, with cherry tomatoes and baby spinach beneath a golden miso crust. The contrast between the briny scallop and the smoky sweetness of the sauce was divine — a standout dish.
Kimchi Pork Soup (53 zł) Deep, hearty, and full of umami — tofu, seaweed, and minced pork swimming in a rich, spicy broth. It felt comforting, almost like a Korean-Japanese fusion stew made for rainy afternoons.
Tuna Tartare & Salmon Ceviche Bright, clean, citrus-forward — both dishes showed how the kitchen respects raw ingredients without overpowering them.
🍱 Lunch Bento Sets If you visit at midday (12:00–15:00), the lunch menu is a remarkable deal — beautifully presented bento boxes ranging from 68 zł to 123 zł, each including a complimentary miso soup.
Highlights include: Korean Ramen Set (75 zł) – Spicy ramen, kimchi, and meat gyoza, balanced and hearty.
Tempura Box (123 zł) – Shrimp tempura, sashimi, futomaki, and kimchi — a perfect introduction to the restaurant’s variety.
Shogayaki Box (85 zł) – Ginger pork, sushi, and rice — a comforting, well-balanced choice.
Overall Impression Izumi Sushi Biały Kamień is one of Warsaw’s most unique dining experiences — a seamless harmony of Japanese precision and natural serenity.
✅ Extraordinary freshness and presentation ✅ Lush greenhouse setting that feels almost magical ✅ Diverse menu — from classic sashimi to fusion creativity ✅ Excellent lunch options at fair prices
It’s the kind of place where time slows down — where the rustle of leaves becomes the soundtrack to your meal, and every bite feels like a quiet meditation on taste and texture.

Read moreWarning - NOT coeliac/gluten free friendly (which is very unusual for a sushi place, in our experience). We were a group of 12. My wife and I are coeliac, and unfortunately so are both of our children. We explained this upon arrival and were disappointed that we couldn't have anything containing rice as they pre-prepare it and add vinegar that contains gluten. There was almost nothing from the menu that we can have so the kitchen prepared us some fried halibut, some fried chicken breast and sweet potato chips. My wife also had a modified salmon tartar without soy sauce. Unfortunately something must have gone wrong somewhere in the kitchen. I can only assume that either they pans they used to prepare our food weren't washed properly before our food was prepared, or the preparation surfaces were contaminated and due care wasn't taken despite what we said. All four of us have been "glutenised", as we call it. There was definitely gluten in our food as we are all suffering with the symptoms that are typical for each of us - I have an extreme stomach ache that will likely last for 4+ days. My wife has lethargy and muscle weakness and both of our children erupted in eczema before we even got home. This is particularly disappointing as the restaurant has rave reviews and is definitely not a low end establishment. Frankly, we would have been happier for them to tell us that they can't confidently cater for us rather than do a poor job and leave us in discomfort for the next few days. Pity, as the restaurant is interesting in it's set up and is child friendly. For us, and other coeliacs / gluten intolerant / gluten allergic diners, its definitely one to...
Read moreI had wanted to visit this place for a long time. The brand that is Mr Alon is impressive. I wanted to go on sushi courses. I myself have been learning to make sushi for 3 years. Now I have doubts. I was expecting something more - something wow. The place is clearly being promoted to Instagrammers who want to show off the places they go to.
minus / + plus / = normal
The place: =I don't understand what people are raving about. I think some people haven't seen a palm tree. I was in January, it was cold. (Shirt and jacket) good that they have a car park
Order : = we got our order after about 45min = service (waitress) on a normal level, nothing bad to say
Food (YOKOHAMA SET DELUX): the set was all in teriaki sauce. (sugar sugar, sugar ,moooore sugaaar). The effect was that after a few minutes all the flavours were similar. DO NOT RECOMMEND To the set we bought a shrimp roll. You would not believe it! This extra roll was on a completely different level(negatively) Until I wondered if it was the same variety of rice. The rice looked different to the one in the orginal set, it was squashed/compacted. I don't know if this was done by the person who is learning or what is causing it. The taste was obviously different. DO NOT RECOMMEND
(I personally avoid sugars. I do NOT recommend this set to anyone who avoids sugar. Anyone who avoids sugar knows that providing a lot of sugar affects mood swings. That is, after a visit to this restaurant I have a bad mood. Anyone who has not avoided sugar will not understand)
Maybe the next visit will be...
