Sphinx — Restaurant in Warsaw

We stopped for a small brunch at Sphinx during our trip to Warsaw in February. It looked more elegant than the other restaurants nearby from outside. So we decided to try it. Let us rate on different aspects-

Food & drinks - Food was delicious and the beer was good too. We ordered a tomato soup and a Lebanese platter. We loved them. They had a big gamut of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages which made the experience a bit more interesting! Overall great food and drinks!

Service - Service was good but a little slower even with not too many guests onboard. Not so great English from waiters made it a little more enigmatic although their nice smiles compensated somewhat ☺️

Ambience- It was okay! Nice lighting and decor. Do not remember if there was light music but nonetheless, overall the ambience was quite nice and soothing.

At this restaurant service was awful: Not enough waiters, too much time for order... The wine glass was dirty... When they changed glass it was again dirty.. Instead of Strong steak, they brought me medium steak... When I wanted the manager ... that waiter told me that he was the manager. When I wanted the complain book, they dont have any book like this.

P.s. The only good experience there was red wine Bordeaux Sauvignon. And Medium steak was also nice as a Medium Steak, but I...

Wszedłem do prawie pustej restauracji, kelner posadził mnie przy stoliku w głębi lokalu po lewej. Złożyłem zamówienie i zająłem się pracą na tablecie. W tym czasie kilku znudzonych brakiem ruchu pracowników usiadło przy stoliku obok i nie zważając na moją obecność BARDZO GŁOŚNO prowadziło żywą dyskusję o swoich prywatnych sprawach. Tak głośno że w ogóle nie mogłem się skupić na pracy! Zachowanie kompletnie nieakceptowalne.

Otrzymałem w końcu zamówioną Misę z Warzywami i Kurczakiem (pycha!), zjadłem ze smakiem, poprosiłem o rachunek. I teraz gwóźdź programu - kelner przyniósł terminal do płatności kartą i podał go w ten sposób, że dłonią szczelnie zasłaniał wyświetlacz, mogłem jedynie zbliżyć kartę. Potem okazało się, że nabił kilka złotych więcej niż wynikało z rachunku. To nie jest już zachowanie nieakceptowalne, to jest zachowanie wręcz KRYMINALNE!

Nie miałem czasu wtedy robić afery (wyjeżdżałem tego dnia do UK), ale takie zachowanie obsługi całkowicie dyskwalifikuje ten lokal. Właściciel ewidentnie nie jest zainteresowany kontrolą tego co robią jego pracownicy.

EDIT: Nie jestem w stanie określić dnia i godziny wizyty, płaciłem wtedy kartą której już nie posiadam, więc nie znajdę płatności w historii. Wydarzenia miały miejsce w drugiej połowie 2021 roku. Moja opinia została usunięta dwa razy, publikuję ją...
