I don't even know where to start. I saw a listing in a tourist booklet on Warsaw and this was listed as having vegan as well as gluten free food. I'm vegetarian and eat vegan whenever it's an option; my mother has to eat gluten free. Seeing a place that catered to both was an easy decision. We arrived around 1 and it was pretty crowded. Luckily, most of the people were getting their food to go, so we were able to find a table. There were tables both inside and out, but it was slightly on the small side.
Luckily, there was an English menu, and we were able to place our order from a list of delicious options. We also each ordered a drink (one chicory coffee with coconut milk and a nutty love shake), as well as a slice of cake. This ended up being about $25, which is a steal compared to the prices I've seen elsewhere. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were very generous; we couldn't finish our food and we ended up taking the cake to go because we were full. The staff was helpful and the food was brought out promptly and was pretty quick considering how many people were there.
I would definately reccomend coming here if you could. One of the best meals I've had in a long time. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope to return before my trip ends. Thank you for the...
Read moreAmazing place. The all-vegan menu is big and hard to choose from with all the fantastic options. They also have about 10 different cakes to choose from. I came here a few days ago and had the Green Heaven a cashew cheese filled crepe with pistachios and other tasty things. It was so good and massive but I couldn't get a picture because it disappeared too quickly into my mouth. For desert I had The Sweetie which was another giant filled crepe and coconut cream. I had to take some of it home. Today I was looking for places to eat and decided to come back to Vegemiastro because it's my last day here and I really wanted to try more of the menu. This time I had the Vegan Power shake. So freaking tasty! Then the Kale Spaghetti with smoked tofu pieces and mushrooms. The sauce was so LOVELY. And I loved the tofu squares. I would definitely have this again. And I was full after this so I ordered the cake to go. It was extremely hard to decide but the very sweet waitress helped me choose the (gfsf) Chocolate Brownie. Later I met the owner, thanked her and promised her that when I'm next in Warsaw I'll be back here for sure. I love Poland and thanks to this place and quite a few other vegan spots I now love Warsaw too. Thanks again...
Read moreTo be honest, I did try to give this place a chance. Several times.
I tried 4 or 5 different dishes there, and they really impressed me - but not in a good way.
Some dishes are bland and have texture of a cardboard (especially deserts), while others are too salty and/or soyy (main courses). There is also no decaf coffee.
The staff is not attentive to customers’ feedback - when almost an untouched plate was returned to the kitchen (Kale Pasta - too much salt, too little taste), the staff did not offer anything instead to rectify this.
The bistro is generally run inefficiently, there are people coming and leaving the premises just because there’s no place to sit, all staff attire is half uniform, half random.
Opening hours are different on Monday (closes at 6:00 PM) - which is messy and not a common practice in gastronomy.
There is a massive problem with the visual presentation, it suck in pretty much everything: in the interior arrangements, the look of the menu, placing of additional products and merch on the shelves, and the plating of meals.
Sticky and unclean tables, weird seating of guests.
It’s time for me to let go of this place - it’s a hard...
