Unfortunately, I will start with the negatives... We got to the place around 9.30pm and they were still welcoming guests. The lady that greeted us said that we were unlikely to be seated. Straight after, the team leader showed her that she can set up for us in the corner where there was a free table. We were politely asked to wait in the comfy sofa area while the table was being set. When we finally sat down at the table, we did not sit down where the wine glasses were put as we were overexcited about the beauty of the place. The lady that set the table then became very awkward and with a poor attitude started to move the wine glasses across. We noticed straight away that we sat in the wrong seats and apologised to the lady to be treated with a cold and unresponsive attitude. From this moment forward, the lady was very unwelcoming and rude. Very much felt like she was looking down on us for being in a place like this.
When asked about what wine selection, the lady straight away called the Sommelier, however yet again the way we were spoken to very much felt unfriendly from her part, yet we tried to be nothing but nice and polite to her. We were getting ready to leave at this point as we did not feel welcome at all.
When the Sommelier arrived the night changed from bitter to sweet. He was a delightful person and treated us with a friendly and humorous attitude. Honestly can say that his customer service was amazing. Felt very natural and unforced. He checked on us and had quick chats and a laugh throughout the night. A massive contrast to the lady who served us previously. The wine he offered us was exactly what we asked for in terms of flavours too! Shame we didn't ask about his name as would have loved to give him a massive shout-out. I hope the company appreciates the hard work he is putting in.
We also had some deserts there and all...
Read moreDisappointing experience. I have chosen this restaurant due to its ranking on TripAdvisor. Now I know it’s not deserved. We went for dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant is well located, the terrace has a nice view of the river. However, the service was terrible and the food mediocre at best. To begin with, we asked for advice on the rosé wines, as the wine list was in Polish. We asked specifically for a dry rosé. The waiter consulted the barman, and we accepted his suggestion. He brought us a sweet rosé (probably, demi-sec). Strike one. Then we order starters. The waiter took half an hour to bring the hot starters and still forgot my beef tartar (a cold dish) that I had to ask and eat after everyone else has finished. Strike two. Then, we waited for another hour for our main dishes. We had to complain to the waiter. It seems he had forgotten them. Strike three. When the main dishes finally arrived, it was clear the lamb I ordered had been reheated (it had been probably ready in the kitchen or the counter for so long). Long story short, it was overcooked and cold. Strike four. Too many too serious mistakes for a supposedly fine dining place. We regret our choice. It seems the owner is not on the premises, and he or she should. It was a...
Read moreOne of my favorite restaurants in Wroclaw. I've been it's fan for years, since they were located in another part of the city. Now it's a big and light restaurant standing on the water. It has an open kitchen for you to observe chefs while they're cooking, if you're not too busy with trying amazing Brad which they bring for free as a starter. I would say that portions are not too big, but rather small or normal sized. The menu changes from time to time, but there're always dishes which are loved and kept. You can come here both for wine and small aperitive or for a full meal. As for the dessert I would recommend chocolate fondant (the best one I've ever tried). Wine: big menu with wines from all over there world available in bottles. And there're always 8-12 wines available by glass. Atmosphere is a high class. So you would prefer...
