From the moment I stepped into Samarcand, I was immediately transported to the heart of Uzbekistan, thanks to the restaurant's authentic ambiance and decor. This place is truly a hidden gem for anyone looking to experience the unique flavors of Uzbek cuisine.
The menu at Samarcand is a delightful showcase of traditional Uzbek dishes, each prepared with a level of care and precision that speaks to the skill of the kitchen staff. The Plov, a classic Uzbek rice dish, is a standout for its perfect balance of savory, sweet, and spiciness that tantalizes the taste buds. The Manty dumplings are another must-try, with their delicate pastry enveloping a rich, meaty filling that melts in your mouth.
One cannot talk about Samarcand without mentioning the warm and hospitable service. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their cuisine, happy to explain the dishes and suggest pairings that ensure an unforgettable dining experience.
Another point that deserves applause is the restaurant's commitment to sourcing high-quality ingredients. The freshness of the produce truly shines through in each dish, bringing an added layer of complexity to the already delightful flavors.
To cap off the meal, the dessert offerings at Samarcand are just as impressive as the main courses. The Chak-Chak, a traditional honey cake, is a sweet ending to the feast, with its light, airy texture and the right amount of sweetness.
In conclusion, Samarcand is not just a restaurant, it's a journey to the heart of Uzbekistan through its rich, vibrant, and diverse cuisine. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a culinary adventure or just a delicious meal in a welcoming atmosphere.
I can't wait to return and try more of what Samarcand has to offer. Truly, a...
Read moreWe discovered this wonderful place completely by accident, and we were absolutely delighted. Initially, we just wanted to try some meat, and not for a single second did we regret choosing this restaurant. The food was an absolute taste sensation – every single dish we received was incredibly delicious, beautifully presented, and served in generous portions.
The atmosphere was calm, elegant, and very pleasant, which made our experience even better. I would like to give special thanks to a fantastic waiter named Kuba, who went above and beyond to make our evening perfect, ensuring that all our wishes were taken into account and fulfilled. His attentiveness and professionalism truly stood out.
I also want to highlight a wonderful waitress from Ukraine – such a kind and friendly person, just like the rest of the staff. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and made us feel at home.
We left with the most positive impression and will definitely come back many times. Highly recommended to anyone looking for great food, amazing service, and a lovely atmosphere. Thank...
Read moreVisited this place 4.07.2023, to try Borshsz.
Ordered borshsz (6 EUR) and lamb kebab (22 EUR). Borshzh was perfect, and service was pretty well BEFORE waiter bought kebab. I tried kebab, by my experience I bet that it was cooked from frozen meat, because of red points in meat (adding photos), and the smallest part of meat was just dried with taste of thawed meat. I ask waiter is it ok that one part oh the same piece of meat are well done and another one raw. He played “ohhhh what?? Give me a piece of meat” . He took it and went to kitchen. Returned just a second with response “it is okay, cook just ate it, so you can eat it” — ???
I realized that we can’t solve this situation by dialogue.
In the end: I’ve got the full bill, and feed the cook by my own.
Do not recomendable eat meat here! And if something will bad - don’t try hope...
