The restaurant is not that bad. Except that my starter arrived simultaneously with the main course, I am generally happy with the meal; did not exceed expectations but was rather in line. There is a special circumstance however, that merits a few lines. There is a sort of a flowerbed in the middle of the terrace. It as planted with some bushes and looks sufficiently charming. Elevated to the level of the table, so in my case was at my elbow. I do not want to hold the suspense: the place houses a few rats. On the day I visited the restaurant, they were showing keen interest in my food. Actually, to some detriment of my interest in the same subject. The waitress, when I was taking pictures of the competition, smiled fondly; they must be friends. Don’t get me wrong, I do not mind rats. I heard they are very intelligent. Probably, given a chance - a few more visits to the place - I would also make friends with this little family. But I won’t. I do not believe that rats and restaurants go well together. Arrived close to midnight after a gig, and the place was packed. They didn't have a table available and it looked like we might have to go elsewhere but they found two seats at the bar to squeeze us in.
We ordered two beef tatares, a whiskey sour and martini & tonic.
The tatare was well presented with the usual components, pickled mushrooms, pickled cucumber, onion, mustard and two pieces of thick crusty bread
The blond tattooed barmanka was very friendly and helpful sorting with menus, taking our orders and making our cocktails. Best whiskey sour I had in Wrocław so far.
For the uninitiated, new tourists etc places like Setka, Ministerstwo and Pijalnias are no frills, cheap booze and cheap polish small plates often until late. It's like a bar mleczny married cheap late night pub. Setka is definitely a cut above Ministerstwo and Pijalnia. Even on a busy Saturday night everyone was very friendly and accommodating.

Honestly, after two days in Wrocław I thought all restaurants were filled with rude and robotic waiters — until I visited here. What a difference! Lovely place with genuinely warm and professional service.
There’s a bar in front and a cosy area to sit and relax behind. The old-school Polish music really adds to the atmosphere — it actually made me feel like home. 🇵🇱

Food
Everything came out after about 15 minutes, nicely timed. • Schabowy – Classic (old school) and perfectly done. Nothing to add, just so good. • Placek po zbójnicku – Very tasty! Could be a bit crispier, but the gulasz was wonderful — soft meat and rich gravy with a hint of spice. • Żurek – Thick, smoky, and delicious, with plenty of egg and a big slice of bread on the side.
⸻ Overall Not mind-blowing, but solid, satisfying, and great value for money.
I’d happily come back here again — it’s the kind of Polish hospitality that’s getting rare...
