The pillory was built in a stonework workshop by Gauske and Preusse . The pillory set on a three-level pedestal was made of sandstone in the shape of a four-sided column supporting a five-sided openwork lantern , in the upper part conically tapered. At the top of the converging arms of the lighthouse, a seventy-centimeter figurine of a hangman with a sword and a bunch of rods , called Roland , was placed .
