Upon entering the hotel/restaurant you are greeted with a friendly face and an ambiance that is a good mix between classic and modern. The rooms were very clean and nicely furnished. You didn't need to bring anything as even a shaving knife and cream was provided. The most memorable however was the restaurant. The dishes were outstanding. We were able to enjoy the carpaccio, grilled octopus, pasta, entrecote, grilled cauliflower and the white chocolate and frozen pineapple desserts. Each dish had its own unique twist and was very balansed in all the different flavours. The shef-kok personally introduced himself to us and it was inmediatly clear that Victor is a young and ambitious shef who has a true passion for the food he prepairs. There is a lot of possible inprovement to be made on the side of the servers however, as some came over as a bit shy and not all entiquettes were followed. However this was understandable as they explained they only just opened business 4 days before our dinner experience. This is surely a restaurant which strives for a high quality experience with a lot of potential and I am curious what they will be able to achieve in the comming years. I was travelling to Görlitz and while looking for a place to have dinner I was quite intrigued by the BBQ offer of this place, so that was the choice. So here's why it gets 3* from me, not 5. The good - food their fish was great and I can't complain about the steak quality. The atmosphere is also nice. The bad - service. It took good 20 min to get the drinks and solid 50 to get the food, though the place was almost empty and the kitchen wasn't overwhelmed. Meat arrived almost cold which kinda spoiled it, but I wasn't ready to wait another 40 min for it to be fixed. The choice of sauces is somewhat poor for the meat they offer. The ugly - the bill. The prices on the menu are netto and different taxes are applied to different positions afterwards.
