Karczma Polska Pod Kogutem — Restaurant in Świnoujście

Can't comment on food or drink, I was put off by the service levels before I was able to actually order food. We sat down looking at menu when waitress eventually came over, looking like she is there serving her sentence ordered by court, like she can't be bothered and told us this area is closed and told us to seat elsewhere (there was no Reserved or Closed signs to indicate we cannot seat there), that she would have to clean the tables and chairs (which by the way was fine for us). After exchanging few words with my friend the waitress 'gracefully' decided to wipe the tables for us and serve us there but at this point I had enough and walked out. 300 metres down the road I ordered great good in the place with great service. I DO NOT recommend Pod Kogutem!!! Avoid...

Came here as a recommendation. Upon entering, sign for card payment was on the entrance, but as we sat down, the server brought the menus, said a quick hello and whilst walking away blurted out that the only possible payment was cash. No further conversation and walked away to keep talking with a colleague at the bar. Ended up leaving the restaurant based on the rude service without giving it a second though as we found the place extremely unvelcoming....

Wir kamen am späten Nachmittag und der Außenbereich war sehr gut besucht. Gerade wurde ein Tisch frei als wir kamen und den nahmen wir gleich. Ein paar Minuten später brachte eine freundliche Kellnerin auch schon die Karten. Bei der Getränke und Essenbestellung sprach die Kellnerin deutsch mit uns. Die Karte gibt es auch in deutsch aber teilweise nicht richtig übersetzt. Auf der ersten Seite wird darauf hingewiesen das bei Bezahlung in Euro ein Wechselkurs von 1€=4Zloty berechnet wird. Im übrigen ist das auch ganz normal, in den Restaurants, Cafés und Bars in Swinemünde. Also Geldwechseln lohnt sich, sollte aber in der Stadt zu einem besseren Kurs gemacht werden. Zurück zum Restaurant. Die Getränke kamen und das Essen hat auch nicht allzu lange gedauert. Die Gerichte waren beide lecker und auch die Portionen waren gut. Vom Preis her war alles in Ordnung. Über das Lokal innen und Toiletten kann ich nichts sagen da wir nur im Außenbereich waren. Neben dem Restaurant gibt es einen Parkplatz gegen Gebühr. Vor zwei Jahren waren wir schon einmal dort und ich kann mich nicht entsinnen etwas negatives...
