Sovereign Burger Évora — Restaurant in Évora

It’s a typical dingy hole-in-the-wall burger joint. Maybe 4 tables total, and we were the only diners. But we did witness a pretty steady stream of take-out orders whilst we were eating. Proximity to the university must help. The burgers were good and juicy, and the toppings were plentiful. The included fries were easy to skip. Overall it was a basic, serviceable, decent lunch. But nothing special. Our server was pleasant, helpful, and attentive.

We found this great spot on our way to the Chapel of Bones and what a find it was! The restaurant was very clean (even the bathrooms smelled good), the perfect temperature to escape the heat of Portugal in June, and the staff was very friendly. I have NEVER had a sandwich like this. It was fantastic on its own, but after adding the special sauces… it was easily one of the best meals I tried during my trip to Portugal. The Natas do ceu was delicious and excellent quality as well, the juices were fresh and the Caipirinha is officially my favorite drink...
