Read moreIf you are English and/or cannot speak fluent Portuguese, DO NOT GO HERE! Absolutely terrible service. We were a table of 4 wanting to have a light lunch and drinks. The first man who sat us was so so lovely (he had a plain T-shirt on not the restaurants uniform) and because our Portuguese isn’t great, one of our party was actually speaking French which he was able to understand. He brought over a water bowl for our dog and was very smiley. We went to order food and maybe something got lost in translation but we thought we had to order inside. So I did and the nice man was speaking to a man in uniform and asking over and over again if he could take our order as we were English. This man was completely ignoring him AND me!! I was stood at the bar for a good 10 minutes whilst he pottered around, even the nice man was embarrassed. In the end I had to give up and we just had our drinks because this man was just not taking our order! So so rude!! When it came time to paying our bill the ‘rude’ man asked why we didn’t get anything else. I said you wouldn’t take our order. He said because they were so short staffed they couldn’t. I said everyone around us and the people who came in after us was having their orders taken and the food was coming out very quick. He had absolutely nothing to say back. Complete and utter disrespect just because we were English. Such a shame because it COULD be a nice beach bar with amazing views. Staff ruined that. I wouldn’t even be giving it ONE star if it wasn’t for the nice man who seemed...
Read moreI loved everything about this place. The key to my happiness is the atmosphere/the people (staff), the views are a bonus of course. I did not spot any hygienical flaws as someone mentions below, but honestly I was not there to scrutinise the place. I would only look into its kitchen if I noticed something wrong with the cleansiness of my dishes/cutlery or with the meal itself..none of it was the case, so I returned twice to this cosy place. OK, if I were looking for a sterile, spotless place, I would have stayed in Germany or Austria;))) Hello to all of you guys Joaquim aka Kim, Abel aka Phil&David (no "e" !;)), José (Zé?) ...and the rest of the staff PS: strong WIFI is another of the bonuses of this place, it allowed me to work a bit (although the place is rather lively/busy, so don´t expect a quiet "library cafe", not to be disappointed;)) P.P.S: Dogs are welcome! And served as well:)) Até a próxima,...
