The Social has quickly become my go to place since relocating to Alcacer do Sal a few months ago. The food, service and atmosphere are an incredible and unique addition to the area.

The Social is an dining experience with heart and soul; the owner Joao, is wonderful and takes pride in all the details.

As I frequent the restaurant regularly, I have tried the entire menu with some personal standouts being the fried polenta (simply incredible!), pica pau, Algarvian tomato and eggs, sautéed mushrooms, sweet potato chips and drunk pear. However, you can't go wrong with any of the dishes you select based on your personal taste. There is also a pretty extended wine list.

I had a lovely evening with my 8 year old daughter, great food and great service. Left a generous tip. Went there the next day on my own. The experience was quite different unfortunately. Mainly because there was another server. Food was still excellent, however this "new" server kept forgetting stuff I ordered, let me wait long times, even just paying the bill took almost 15 minutes. Luckily, whenever I got hold of one of the other servers things would go smoothly again. I would still go there again, but would now know which server...

Absolutely amazing!! We went here by accident but it’s been the best meal we’ve had in Portugal. Super tasteful, plenty of choice for me as a vegetarian besides all the beautiful meat and fish options. The gentleman who helped us was super lovely and he tried to explain everything in English (which he did great). He was very genuine and honest in his advice to make sure we would order enough but not too much (he wasn’t trying to (up)sell). Super authentic place we can recommend...
