Restaurante Pesca no Prato — Restaurant in Alcobaça

Location and decoration is spot on, the product was fresh and the treatment wasn't at all bad, but I have to give the place 3blow off 2 stars because of 3 things:

1- The fish was good but there was nothing special about the whole meal, steamed vegetables that lacked flavour and optional fries isn't really worth the price to be honest, and I understand the fish was fresh but I think the prices were mainly justified because of the location of the restaurant. I also ordered seafood skewers that were tasteless. 2- I went there the 4th of January, they took some time to fix us a table, an even longer time to take the order and bring the food, as if they didn't expect people to come that they, they weren't prepared that day, it felt as if they were collapsing even if the restaurant wasn't full. 3- The way they charge for the food is strange and a bit intimidating for tourists(knowing the place is in a tourist location), I was a witness and I was the tourist as well, the prices depend on the weight of the fish, and you have to order it whole of course.

Nothing what you would expect! Fish (Robalo) was poisoned by excess of salt, so much it was impossible to eat. When we flagged that to the owner, he asked the kids directly and claimed they like it. When the kids finally had the courage to tell him the fish was ‘terrible’, he promised a new one real fast. The new one took forever and was half crude and without any salt. Never paid so much money for such a bad experience. In addition to having to ‘argue’ with the owner when the chef does a colossal mistake in the kitchen and tries to cover it up. Avoid...

Nice fresh fish (we had 2 beautiful seabass) & seafood aswell as good wine to match the food. In our opinion the place is A bit sterile, there’s no real nice vibe. Staff is friendly but no real connection (in 1,5 - 2 hour we were served by at least 4 of their staff). Besides that: Food quality (good!) & prices (bit too high for what you get) a bit out of tune. Shrimps were excellent. Fish a bit Too much salt. Nice desserts though! ...And of course they’re on a nice spot on the waterfront. 3,5...
