O Forno — Restaurant in Almeirim

We were there at lunchtime on a weekday, assuming it wouldn't be so busy then. Not even close! It was incredibly crowded. The majority of the guests were Portuguese families. Nevertheless, we were served very quickly and attentively! The food was very good except for the dressing for the salad, which was too sour and too salty. The food was absolutely amazing, the portions very good and the service was beyond what I'd call outstanding. The young guy who served us (who's a student and only works during the weekends and holidays) was a genuine people's person and you should be proud of him and having him by your side! ❤️ I live abroad and was on holiday and this is a big reminder of how much I love Portugal and the warmness of people!

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! Although there was a 30 to 40-minute wait to get a table, it was totally worth it. We started with the traditional sopa da pedra—so flavorful and comforting, a true taste of local cuisine. Then came the tiger prawns, juicy and perfectly seasoned, followed by the house steak, cooked just right and full of flavor.
